- SMS MJul 28, 20261.0I typically avoid Vetco whenever possible due to previous disappointing experiences, but my regular veterinarian was closed for the weekend and I needed bloodwork done for my senior cat. Logan was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease, and we left the appointment with what Vetco staff told us was a potassium supplement. A few days later, I noticed the bottle was actually labeled Vitamin K1. Our regular veterinarian confirmed that Vitamin K1 is not potassium and instructed us to stop giving it immediately. Giving a pet owner the wrong medication and representing it as something else is a serious mistake. What was equally disappointing was the response afterward. When I contacted the Petco store about the medication mix-up, I was unable to speak with the general manager and encountered what appeared to be very little urgency or concern regarding the issue. Logan appears to be okay, and I'm grateful for that. But veterinary providers are entrusted with the health of our pets, and accuracy, accountability, and professionalism should be the bare minimum. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Vetco or the Petco location on Tropical Parkway to other pet owners.

I love brining him here because the staff and the doctors are so nice and always address my concerns. I also highly recommend getting vital care. It is probably the best thing I’ve ever subscribed to because of the rewards I get, not just in store but for the vet as well. I’ll always bring my dog here.
