  Half the time the staff is really nice and half the time they are slow and don't know anything about programs in the store. There's always a line and only one cashier. Getting 2 or 3 items takes forever because the cashiers are usually slow. I just did a curbside pickup order because I was short on time and I had to go inside and wait in line behind 2 other people before I could get my order. The whole point of doing the pickup order was so I didn't have to wait in line and when I said there were no directions about curbside the young tan guy at the counter (who told me to wait in line for a pickup order) didn't know the directions either and was not very nice. Then I didn't even get my whole order!! I used to love coming here but lately not so much.

  The prices I was charged for 2 items were not as they were advertised and I did realize it until I left. The better tank kit was marked $39.99 and I was charged $44.99. And one of the live tank plants was marked $9.99 and we were charged $14.99.

  I recently had a bad experience with the Vetco at this location, where they sent me home with the wrong medication for a senior cat suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD). After Logan's appointment, I was given what Vetco staff told me was a potassium supplement. A few days later, I noticed the bottle was actually labeled Vitamin K-1. My regular veterinarian later confirmed that Vitamin K-1 is not potassium and instructed me to stop giving it immediately. To be fair, the chemical symbol for potassium is "K," so perhaps this was an honest mistake. Nevertheless, dispensing the wrong medication to a pet with a serious medical condition is completely unacceptable. What was equally disappointing was the response afterward. Because Vetco only operates certain days of the week, I contacted the store and asked to speak with the general manager. Instead, I was connected with a merchandising supervisor because the GM, Charlene, was unavailable. I explained that I would stop by the store in person to discuss the medication mix-up. When I arrived, I was told Charlene was in a video meeting with her district manager until 11:00 a.m. and could not make any accommodation to speak with me. The apparent lack of urgency surrounding a medication error involving a customer's pet was shocking. Mistakes can happen, but accountability and concern should follow. Based on both the medication mix-up and the store's response, I will not be returning to this location.

  The employees at the registers are always pleasant and friendly. The store is also kept clean and organized.
