  The young gentlemen at check out was great. He greeted people who entered the store, and when I brought my cart to check out, came around the counter to scan my items so I didn’t have to lift the heavier ones. He also was knowledgeable about the point system & explained it to me.

  I adopted a kitten from here 2 months ago, I was told she was healthy; spayed, chipped, and ready to go for adoption. About a month later my other cats became sick and I ended up sending out a PCR, which unfortunately came back positive for Giardia and Coccidiosis. We have completed the first round of meds, and unfortunately will have to start another round soon. I was told by the program that adopted her out that they are not responsible for anything and I will have to put out my own money for care. I don’t feel this is fair as this wouldn’t have happened if she had a recent PCR done before being made available for adoption. It also isn’t fair to her that this is her introduction into living in a home.

  I love this Petco and so are my kids! But tonight (08/24/2026) was a bad experience along with other customer. I went there with my mom at 8pm. We didnt look around anymore to find for fish because we already know what we wanted. But what I did not expect was to look around to get some help... I spent 30 mins looking for someone to help us. Then I saw the guy helping another customer who took a while to decide. The guy from petco saw us and there were like 3 or 4 people waiting, including me, and that was around 9:35 ish.mom and I waited and waited. We were standing next to the clownfish area because we already found a pair. Then 9:50am I was looking around to get some help. Then I saw a dad and a boy walked with a fish in a bag. You can tell the frustration but trying to compose himself. I asked if the guy was back there already he said no. He bagged the fish himself and brought it to the cashier. We just laughed about it. But he had been waiting more than 40 mins too. And it would be a waste of time to leave with nothing. I mean as a parent I would have probably done the same thing. I wouldn't want to crush the kids excitement because of a crew who is not willing to help. I waited 50 mins! I asked the cashier, she was very polite to say she cannot give me fish at this hour because duhhh it was almost 10pm and she was the only person left. I asked if the guy left already like off work. She said yes. Both me and the other customer were in shock because we were standing and waiting for him to come back after helping the other customer. It is very unprofessional! We spent the whole hour waiting and waiting and left empty handed!
