My son was excited to get another goldfish. I understand 10 gallons is recommended for 1 goldfish. We told them we do have 10 gallons now, then they said they will not sell to us because we have a 10 gallon tank. We ended getting another goldfish because my mom was able to give us a 20 gallon tank. As we were checking out for this goldfish, the cashier stopped us and said they could not sell us this 25 cent fish because we had a 10 gallon tank. I told them my son’s grandmother is giving us a 20 gallon one. The cashier rolled their eyes and checked us out. There were others buying fishes that day and we did not hear them getting interrogated over what size tanks and being told no they can’t buy their fishes. Also we were asked where we lived and was told by the employee we only had 5 minutes to get the goldfish home.
