- HBHeather BourneufAug 12, 20261.0Our 3 yr old dog has been seeing the Banfield vet at the Turnersville location since she was 8weeks old. We have been on the optimum wellness plan. We noticed our dog was having some issues with her genital region and scheduled an appointment at Deptford as we were unable to get in touch with Turnersville (turns out that location is temporarily closed due to losing the doctor there). Deptford vet determined our dog had a UTI and gave antibiotics. Our dog had a significant reaction to the antibiotics and when we called the NEXT morning, not even 24hrs later the office at Deptford were extremely unhelpful, ignored our concerns about our dogs reaction, refused to assist us in any way including simply changing the antibiotic to a different one. We ended up having to take our dog to urgent care to get an anti-nausea shot and different antibiotics and paying over $300 when we should have been able to get this taken care of as a FOLLOW UP using our Optimal Wellness plan that we already pay for. Will be cancelling our plan and never using Banfield again.
- LLLargePepJun 15, 20261.0Bait and switch , we paid $ 90.00 for medicine for my dog’s ears, ($250 to be seen) with the label reading two times a day for two weeks. Only to find out the medicine will only last 4 days and will need to pay another $180.00 , why only give me 4 days worth of meds? ( am I not going to finish the treatment?) If I knew I was going to pay almost 500 maybe I would have tried I different route. Just be aware, The medicine they give you will not last the duration of how long your dog needs treatment
- CCChriscelly C.Jun 10, 20264.0The staff was great except the Vet on duty when she called me had stone in her voice almost like I neglect my pet, I don’t ever ever he just has bad teeth and I don’t have the thousands of dollars needed for the full dental he needed so I asked for half of the work now and her reaction was as if I was a bad pet parent because I live pay check to paycheck I’m not a doctor lawyer or such I’m doing my best. The Vet Reeker made me feel bad

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
