- A*Jul 18, 20261.0I tried to buy two 30 cent small goldfish for my tank and not only did I get questioned by the employee about what I was doing with these fish, she refused to sell them to me. I’ve never been questioned before ever. Even at this store but I guarantee you I will not shop at petco again and have to deal with the fish police. They have 100 goldfish in a 20 gallon tank but wouldn’t sell me 2 fish for my 5 gallon. Plus!… they have dead fish in all their tanks. I was trying to give 2 goldfish a better life until I ran into the fish police at Petco. Boo 👎 ridiculous.
