About

VeterinarianAnimal HospitalEmergency Veterinarian ServiceVeterinary Pharmacy
Bond Vet - Union brings modern and convenient veterinary care to the Union, New Jersey community. Bond Vet offers primary care and urgent care for pets, which means we can see your dog or cat (usually a same-day appointment) for symptoms that require timely medical attention — a wound, a rash, diarrhea, a persistent cough, a behavioral change, limping or other non-life-threatening symptoms, as well as for routine wellness care and vaccines. Bond Vet’s mission is to strengthen the bond between pets and people through better vet care. We pioneered urgent care, discovering a clear need for timely but not quite emergency care. Because our team is experienced in both GP and emergency medicine, we can offer everything from annual wellness exams, vaccinations, spay & neuter, mass removals, dental cleanings, and specialty surgery, all under one roof alongside urgent care. We know pets and people haven’t always enjoyed vet visits, and we are working hard to change that. A Bond Vet clinic is clean and welcoming, with treat bars, soft lighting, sniffable spaces, comfortable furniture, and hydration stations. Before, during and after your visit, our knowledgeable team is compassionate, caring, and completely dedicated to providing best-in-class medical care for your pet. We’re big on convenience at Bond Vet, making it easy to book appointments (usually same-day or next-day, or you can simply walk in!), chat with our medical team, access your pet’s medical records and more. Plus, our telehealth services can save a trip to the clinic while also giving you peace of mind; we can even prescribe and deliver medication if the treatment plan calls for it. At Bond Vet, you’ll always be offered multiple paths for treatment, next steps and diagnostics, and you’ll never be pressured to spend more than you’re comfortable with. On top of that, we’ll save you time by helping you file claims with pet insurance companies. We built Bond Vet because we wanted to modernize the veterinary experience for today’s pets and pet parents, and we think you’ll enjoy our approach. Bring your pet for primary or urgent care — Bond Vet - Union is located at 2401 Route 22. Call us, walk in or book online at bondvet.com.

Avoid "Sarah" if possible- the vet tech with short hair and glasses. This individual is nasty, disrespectful, and should not be in a customer-facing position. I have escalated my complaint against Sarah and will continue to do so as far as I can. I've been bringing my anxious dog here for years and encountered numerous doctors and staff who are ALL patient, understanding, extremely kind, and whose love of all dogs is apparent. They've successfully managed my dog's care on many many occasions, despite him being a pretty difficult patient. Today I encountered Sarah for the first time. This person is the complete opposite of what I typically experience with the great staff here. Sarah spoke loudly and disrespectfully about my dog and I as if I was not in the room. When Sarah finally did address me, they were curt, rude, and impatient. In all my years of frequenting this location, I have never encountered a staff member as disgusting as Sarah. I urge Bond Vet Union to give Sarah some lessons in customer service or remove them from their role at the risk of losing more customers.

I am extremely disappointed with the care my kitten received here. When I spoke with a staff member afterward, I was told it was ‘possible’ my kitten may or may not have had ringworm. My issue is that when I got a second opinion( from a different vet at this location , which she was lovely and very helpful I believe her name was dr Katie norby? ), The vet simply used a Wood’s lamp on her skin and determined she did not have ringworm. That simple step was never offered during my first visit with Dr Stephanie Tedesco. If I had been told there was an additional test available, even for an extra fee and even if it wasn’t 100% accurate, I absolutely would have chosen that before starting treatment. Instead, my kitten went through unnecessary medication and stress. What bothers me most is that I wasn’t given the chance to make an informed decision. I expected a thorough evaluation and clear options, not a guess and medication. I understand that mistakes happen, and I actually appreciated how thorough the second doctor was, but the first visit felt careless. Instead, my kitten was put on medication she didn’t need, her skin started peeling, she was very uncomfortable, she was acting strange , hiding in weird places in my house to isolate herself , totally not acting like herself , her skin where the medication was placed was peeling and even took a patch of her hair off. I spent two weeks deep cleaning my house, separating my pets, and living with constant stress because I was nervous ring warm would spread. It’s frustrating to pay for unnecessary medication, and worse to pay for a second visit that was only needed because the first wasn’t handled properly.

What we like about the place: -Vet technician Makayla(hope I spelled her name right :) was very cool and accommodating. - Dr. Tedesco has a cheerful disposition in engaging us specially our fur baby and she immediately put us all at ease as she performs her physical test with our pup. - Before going to the next steps after the diagnosis, Makayla showed us the cost for each of the care important to take note of including the cost. We had a fairly good idea of how much to pay unlike in our current provider, everything is at the end and the only choice is to pay! The price range for the ear infection consult including lab work and ear drop medication is between $140-$160. Because there is a limited promo for a free exam during the initial visit, it would have been over $200. The place was clean, cute and cozy. Treats were of different sorts and lastly, we were out in as little as 30 minutes. Parking is convenient as well. They also offer annual membership for discounts and animal events. We like them. 🙂🐶

I found bond vet through Facebook and then I googled them. I read the reviews and decided to go check them in person in union, nj. I asked questions when I got there the staff was friendly and aside from that I also asked owners of pets and their experience and I got positive feedback. I decided to try them and became a member. I bought Mia my 2 year old Shitz Shu and she liked the nurses and doctor who where awesome with her. She had her eyes, ears and also her scratching checked. They explained to me and my wife about it and gave her a shot for it. They did not try to upsell me anything which unfortunately some vets do thats why I changed vet. I'm glad that I did cause they gave me info I needed to help Mia with. I bought Mia there Thursday, August 6, 2026 and since her shot for the scratching she hasn't been scratching as much and makes us happy 😊 to know that they know what they were doing. I'm not good with names ,but the doctor was a short female with glasses no disrespect and two nurses one with glasses and another with long hair. Thank you for being both professional and friendly and super sweat to Mia. That's why I became a member and also 20% discount on some services. If your looking for a new vet try them you might like them couldn't hurt to try.
