  Petco is the only pet store that sells small bags of Blue Buffalo dry cat food. With prices steadily rising this small bag is much more affordable than the $30 bag I normally buy. It last me much longer but I couldn't afford that bag this time around.

  The ladies had a real bad attitude when I asked them about a snake with a specific pattern. They had zero idea what I was talking about and then proceeded to talk negatively about my question amongst each other after our interaction. The store was also not clean and falling apart.

  Rather unkempt aquatic section - all the aquarium products I went there looking for were out of stock except for the fish food. Figured I’d get another Betta but they didn’t have a great selection and most of them were floating sideways in cups of filthy water - would not recommend.

  The staff is very nice but the doctors and nurses are exceptional IMO. Very kind, compassionate and supportive. I have nothing but good things to say.

  Dear Voorhees Animal Orphanage, I wanted to share something with you that I had not mentioned in my previous email. After our adoption experience at the Sewell Petco, I decided to contact Petco directly regarding a few concerns I had with the way the cat adoption area is currently set up. I wanted Voorhees Animal Orphanage to know because my intention was to advocate for the volunteers and the cats, not to criticize the care being provided. I have been to your shelter myself, and it is a beautiful facility. You can immediately see the effort and care that goes into creating a good environment for the animals. As I mentioned before, something about Cover Girl’s face on your website reminded me of Tazzi and made me decide to go to Petco. That visit ultimately led to my wife and me adopting both Cover Girl and her brother, Inky. I also want to reiterate how wonderful Debbie C. and Debbie F. were. They are phenomenal people, and it was obvious how much they care about the animals. The cats themselves were cared for extremely well. My concerns were entirely about the setup and resources available to them. The adoption area is right near the front of the store, where there is a lot of foot traffic and dogs passing through. Shopping carts were being stored directly between the cat enclosures and the area where potential adopters could sit and spend time with the cats. The workspace available to the volunteers also seemed very limited. It struck me as an area that could use some TLC, better resources, and more attention from Petco’s district or regional management. I hope Petco will take the concerns seriously and give that adoption area the support it deserves. Debbie C. and Debbie F. work extremely hard, and it shows. The animals are clearly well cared for, and I hope Petco recognizes the value of the work they are doing and provides them with a safer, more functional, and better-supported environment. I simply wanted to make you aware that I reached out to Petco because I felt the Debbies and the cats deserved that advocacy. Warmly, Douglas Aarne
