I cannot say enough positive things about how well our Sophia is cared for. The team is amazing from start to finish. Sophia always gets nervous but they manage to calm her down. Dr. E is very detailed and takes time to explain everything. We know Sophia is in great hands. Thank you!

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at this veterinary practice was extremely disappointing. During one of the most difficult times a pet owner can face, I expected compassion, understanding, and guidance. Instead, I felt like I was treated as little more than a bill. The costs were extraordinarily high, and at no point did I feel there was transparency regarding treatment options or associated expenses. What was even more upsetting was the complete lack of empathy shown during a very emotional situation involving a beloved family pet. The staff and veterinarian seemed detached and indifferent, offering little comfort or support. As pet owners, we trust veterinarians not only with our animals’ health but also to help us navigate heartbreaking decisions. Unfortunately, that compassion was noticeably absent. I left feeling devastated, frustrated, and disappointed. No pet owner should feel like they are being treated as a transaction when they are facing difficult medical decisions for a cherished member of their family. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this practice and would encourage others to ask detailed questions about treatment options, pricing, and expectations before proceeding with care.

After years of being a patient, my dog will no longer go there. When she was young, she didn’t need them but now that she is older, they aren’t there for her. She was on their wellness program. What a rip off. Don’t go there. 13 years and they don’t know her nor do they care.

Very disappointing and dangerous experience at Banfield inside PetSmart in Rockaway, NJ. My 8-pound dog was diagnosed with Lyme disease and prescribed medication for 28 days. After leaving, I noticed the dosage was actually intended for a 30-pound dog. If I had not checked the medication myself, my dog could have been seriously harmed. When I returned to question the mistake and requested another test, the vet refused to repeat it that day and told me to come back in a week. I ended up paying almost $300 at another veterinary clinic for new testing, and my dog tested NEGATIVE for Lyme disease. This situation showed a serious lack of professionalism and attention to patient safety. Pet owners should not have to catch potentially dangerous medication errors themselves.

Fine for shots and vaccines but useless otherwise. Finally brought our 11 year old dog to a REAL vet and they diagnosed tons of issues that banfield never found or discussed with us. Had we known we could have treated him and avoided future problems, which now it’s too late for. Do yourself and your pets a favor and don’t trust your animals lives with this pathetic excuse for a vet
