  I made this appointment a month in advance and paid for additional services as part of the package, so I was expecting a professional and welcoming experience. Unfortunately, the initial interaction with the staff was extremely disappointing. I walked in with my dog, Ben, and was immediately told, “Could you wait outside? I’ll call you,” without a greeting, explanation, or any basic courtesy. I was never called in and was eventually waved inside by the same staff member. Another young woman then came out and had a much more pleasant demeanor, but by that point, the initial interaction had already left a very negative impression. I was later informed that they could not groom Ben because he would not allow them to touch him, which I completely understand and have no issue with. My concern is the way the experience began and the lack of professionalism and customer service. As someone new to New Jersey and the area, I was disappointed that this was my first experience with this location. I honestly wish I had read the reviews beforehand, as I would not have booked this location had I known what to expect. I would encourage anyone considering this location to read the reviews carefully before making an appointment. Customers are spending their hard-earned money and deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect from the moment they walk through the door.

  No cats or dogs in sight other than the ones that are being groomed. Small pet selections but plenty of fish that I wasn't really interested in. Guinea Pigs were cute, birds, n reptiles.

  This is my first time visit to petco, and I can't say enough good things about Ms. Melody in the grooming section. My beagle is extremely nervous about nail trims, and she was kind enough to accommodate us at the last minute. Because of his anxiety, he had an accident inside the facility, which was very stressful and embarrassing for me. Ms. Melody was so compassionate and understanding. She immediately put both my dog and me at ease, handled everything with kindness and patience, and never made us feel uncomfortable. She did a wonderful job trimming his nails and made what could have been a very stressful experience a positive one. It's clear that she genuinely cares about the pets and people she works with. Thank you, Ms. Melody, for your exceptional care and compassion. We are so grateful!
