    For the first few months, we had a very good experience with Petco. We loved the haircuts and were always happy with the grooming. However, during our last visit, my dog was nicked on his neck, and we were not informed. Because his hair is thick and long, we did not notice the injury right away. When we took him to the vet, the vet clearly said that the injury looked like a clipper cut, so it most likely happened during his grooming appointment. Unfortunately, the wound became infected with MRSA. It took over two months, several antibiotics, steroids, other medications, and constant vet visits for him to heal. We are very disappointed, especially because no one informed us about the injury. Please be careful when taking your pets here and make sure grooming instruments are properly cleaned and sanitized.

    My German shepherd is a Short Coat GSD. I had this clarified by my breeder. The groomer at this location told me as soon as she came to take my GSD from me that I will be charged for a long coat rate and if I want to pay for a short coat then I should go to the location I used to go previous to this location. I told her that we just moved to this area only few days back and previous location is far for us. Considering I did not have a choice and I had to get the grooming done I agreed to pay fur long coat grooming even though that was not right. Petco should know that GSDs come in long coat and short coat varieties and not all are long coat. This should also be clarified to its groomers universally and not store by store. Considering the groomer’s attitude I did not have a great experience at this location.

    Very bad experience. First time visit and my dog was nicked. While I appreciate not being charged for the service, this is a horrible first experience. I am dog sitting and am quite upset that the first place I brought him to this occurred.

    All the people in the grooming department were welcoming, kind and professional. They handled our 75 lb. Pittie baby with care and made her feel safe. One person clipped her nails while another soothed her, keeping her calm. I recommend the Parsippany Groomers highly!

    While the staff was completely polite my dogs hair cut wasn't. Her hair cut looked so bad now when I walk her she doesnt want to walk.
