  . ### 1-Star Review: Disorganized, Rushed, and Completely Lacked Basic Dog Handling Skills I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at this location. I arrived exactly at my scheduled appointment time, but all the groomers were completely slammed. After waiting 15 minutes with my two dogs, a groomer finally took a quick break to come out. The entire environment felt chaotic and extremely rushed. What worried me most was the groomer's complete lack of basic dog handling knowledge. Instead of getting down to my dog’s level or letting him sniff her, she walked right up behind him and threw the leash over his head. It completely startled and terrified him. Anyone who knows anything about dogs knows you never approach a nervous animal from behind like that. It immediately set a negative, fearful tone for the entire visit, leaving both of my dogs deeply shaken. They were only dropped off for a standard bath and deshedding treatment. Yet, just 15 minutes after leaving, I received a phone call telling me it would be several hours before I could pick them up. I was told they were "too scared," so the salon only gave them a quick bath, skipped the blow-dry entirely, and expected my dogs to sit in a kennel and air-dry for two hours. They completely omitted everything else that was supposed to be included in the package—no nail trims, no brushing, and absolutely no deshedding treatment. I refused to let my dogs sit shivering in a kennel for two hours, so I went straight back to pick them up wet. Despite receiving nothing more than a rushed, partial bath, I was still charged the full $105 for both dogs. Management didn't offer a single dollar as a discount for the services they completely failed to provide. To top it all off, I was informed that both of my dogs are now banned from all Petco grooming locations because they were "too scared." These are small dogs who have absolutely no history of biting. They regularly go to other professional groomers and have never had a single issue. It is clear that the staff at this location care more about rushing through appointments like an assembly line than actually handling animals with patience and care. If you want your pets treated gently by people who actually understand dog behavior, do not bring them here. Expect a rushed, stressful process handled by people who have zero patience.

  I’m extremely disappointed with the grooming service my dog received. I brought him in for a simple groom and nail trim, but the groomer, Heather, told me she couldn’t cut his nails and returned him to me in a very distressed state. My dog came out shaking, anxious, and clearly traumatized in a way I’ve never seen before after any grooming appointment. The quality of the groom itself was poor, and the staff didn’t communicate well or show much patience or compassion toward him. I expect a grooming place to handle dogs gently and professionally, and unfortunately this experience made me feel anything but confident in their care. I won’t be returning, and I hope they take steps to improve how they handle animals and communicate with pet owners.
