- NRNicol RodríguezJun 21, 20263.0I love this store and have been shopping here with my husband for over three years. The store is always clean, and most of the staff have been friendly and helpful. However, I’ve recently had a recurring experience that concerns me. On several occasions, when I’ve asked to purchase certain fish, one employee has told me that they cannot be sold because they are sick. What I find strange is that this seems to happen frequently whenever she is the one helping me, and many of the fish she identifies as sick show no obvious signs of illness. In fact, this happened again today. I asked for a fish, and I was told it was sick. After observing it myself, I did not notice anything unusual. When I pointed out that the fish did not appear sick, the employee then proceeded to sell it to me. I have experience maintaining both a 55-gallon and a 30-gallon aquarium, and I am familiar with fish species and their basic care requirements. I completely understand and support the policy of not selling sick animals, and I appreciate any effort made to protect their well-being. However, when this situation happens repeatedly without a clear explanation, it becomes frustrating for customers who come to the store intending to make a purchase. In addition, I have noticed what I consider to be unprofessional behavior. The employee in question speaks Spanish, yet when assisting me, she often ignores what I say and directs all questions and responses exclusively to my husband, even when I am the one making the purchase and asking the questions. On several occasions, I have spoken directly to her and received no response, only to see her walk over to my husband and continue the conversation with him instead. This has made me feel ignored, uncomfortable, and disrespected. I do not like creating conflict, which is why I have never filed a formal complaint before. However, I believe it is important to share this experience so that management can review the situation. My intention is not to cause problems for anyone, but rather to ensure that all customers receive respectful, professional, and consistent service.
