  As someone who works here, trusting my own dog’s care to this team was an easy decision — and they reminded me exactly why. I recently brought Tito in for his dental procedure, and Dr. Smetts, along with technicians Nicole and Sam, took such amazing care of him from start to finish. The monitoring and attention to detail during his procedure were excellent, and I felt completely confident knowing he was in such capable hands. Everyone was incredibly compassionate, attentive, and made sure both Tito and I were comfortable throughout the entire process. Tito was treated like family, and the communication and level of care were truly exceptional. His teeth look absolutely amazing — so clean and bright — I couldn’t be happier with the results. He came home happy and is recovering wonderfully. I’m so grateful to work alongside such an incredible team and would trust them with my pets every time.

  I simply cannot overstate how wonderful this practice was. I brought in my new dog, Moose, who was definitely in need of a full exam, vaccinations, etc. This was his first time at the vet and the staff worked well to accommodate him! From calling the office to check out, everyone was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and competent. I was even able to get a same-day appointment. Dr. Iris and the tech, Olivia, set me up with everything I needed to make sure Moose was squared away and set up for a healthy year. If I weren't moving out of state, I would make this my primary vet in a heartbeat. Thank you ladies!

  Like coming home again! After 6 years, we finally got another dog and there was no question when we came back to Hillsborough where we were going for veterinary care. The staff and doctors are as caring as ever. Totally trust them with the care of our four-legged babies.

  I went to Harlingen because my dog's vet, Dr. Aguilar, joined the clinic from another facility. My dog loves Dr. Aguilar and quickly adjusted to the entire team. This has not always been the case. Vet visits were stressful for both of us. Not anymore. I drive about 1.5 hours each way to Harlingen because it is such a positive experience for us. We will follow Dr. Aguilar anywhere! When it is time to leave, he tries to go back in, and one of the staff, particularly Olivia, always walks him to the car. The staff is kind, provides all of the information needed, cares, and takes the time needed to build a relationship with and care for my sweet boy. I highly recommend Harlingen Veterinary Clinic!
