The girls at the stand were so nice and welcoming. This was our first time here. My cat was so stressed from the car ride and when we were in line, the animals were getting vaccines right in front of other people so basically your pet can see all the other anxious pets while getting poked. My cat did ok during her first two vaccinations but she needed three. The veterinarian poked her twice and closed her carrier then realized she had one more shot to do. My cat was so upset when they had to reopen her carrier and poke her again and that led to the veterinarian and the assistant stressing her out with a towel and there were people in line watching my poor cat in stress. They closed her carrier and then proceeded to tell us to go stand to the side. The vet gave 0 information about what to expect. Never told us her temperature when it was taken. It just seemed like the veterinarian didn’t want to be there. The other techs were so nice and they gave me a little bit of information on vaccine reactions. I just didn’t expect my cat to be poked infront of many barking dogs in a random corner of petco. I thought it was going to be a small private room but that’s on me for not doing more research first. I feel awful because my cat is still so overwhelmed. Maybe set up some form of privacy for pets and owners? I am taking my cat somewhere else for her booster vaccinations. I appreciate the first round getting done though!

Vaccines and staff were good. My issue is my appt was 9 and 9:05. I was first inside the door for a 9 o'clock opening. I had to get a carriage as I have two small dogs. Meanwhile the guy behind me runs up into the line because he has a big dog and doesn't need to get a carriage. Check-in took him because he was first in line. Why make appts at 9 if the store opens at 9? I know seems small of me, what's one person? Well, they should have called out the name of the first appointment. I was right there. It is not a first come, first serve business hence why we have an appointments.

Vet tech at checking suggested a package which was better priced than individual shots and included a mini check up. the vet and tech giving the services were friendly and worked efficiently to provide gentle service to my dog who can be nervous and a bit unpredictable. Thanks to their care my dog remained calm and well behaved.

I think the vets there poked my dog to hard with the needles when they vaccinated him. I usually go to the one in Westford and they do a great job he doesn’t feel pain after the appointment but here he was so out of it and was in pain. I felt so bad for my fur baby smh never again!!
