  Place was better today, didn’t need to wait at checkout for 15 minutes then hunt an employee down to check out this time so that’s good 😂

  My dog is older and needs frequent breaks during their grooming, which I told the groomer, but when I went to pick up my dog they did not get any haircut what so ever. The groomer said they were worried about my dog trying to lie down while they were trimming and accidentally falling on the scissors. They said they were not equipped to handle senior dogs; That part was very surprising! I understand partly, and like that they kept my dog safe, but I had already told them my dog couldn’t stand for long periods of time and needed breaks. But to not trim anything is crazy to me. I was charged for a bath, instead of bath and cut, and I got 20% off, which was good customer service in my mind, however I was still charged $15 for 15min extra of brushing! What else was there for the groomer to do if they didn’t trim anything!? Sadly, I cannot go back to this Petco for grooming; Not because I don’t want to but because they aren’t equipped to groom senior dogs (mine is 10 years old).

  I was taking my baby Chihuahua here to get groomed and it was good for the first few times... I recently came in to the Dover location after having a terrible experience at the Rochester where they cut his skin, didn't trim his nails and kept calling HIM a HER. (Mind you, he's a VERY good boy. He just stands there) Anyway, this was somehow worse... she hands me my baby and his back foot is covered in blood. She's like "he stepped on the buffer" WHAT? HOW? I'm furious, but keep composure. I just say "thanks, bye" and she has the nerve to say back "sorry he cut himself." Screw you, petco. I'm going to an actual groomer, who doesn't hurt my baby and then BLAME him on top of it...
