- JHJames HetuJun 4, 20261.0Stay away. Just a money hole that cares nothing for your pets. It's all about getting procedures scheduled so they can hit you with tests and office fees. My dogs were scheduled for dental cleanings which they wouldnt do without a consult with a cardiologist because they have heart mummers... which Banfield already knew about. Did they tell us this when scheduling the dental cleaning visit? Nope. So we dropped them off at 7:30am, still nothing. I get a call at 11:40am to tell me. Of course this is after they ran all the tests to prep to put them under for the cleaning. Test plus office visit for a procedure that was never going to get done cost me $290.00. No negotiation or trying to work with me, just holding my dogs hostage until I pay up. I care very much for my older dogs and money isn't an issue. I spend hundreds to bring them to a cardiologist every 6 months. But they don't care for the animals and they dont look out for them. It's all about getting fees and pushing their "plans". ☆And now I've gotten the usual "PR" crap response from whomever runs Banfield's online stuff asking for my name and contact info... I'm not hiding or being coy. I asked for a manager when I was there and apparently he was the one cashing me out. I ask if they could do something since no services were provided. Nope! Nothing. So if management treats the customers this way, you can only imagine what company policy is for the average employee's treatment of customers.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
