I am appalled by the negative reviews written here. Clearly jaded people, who have no idea of the character and integrity of Dr. Henning. I unfortunately met Dr. Henning, through very tragic circumstances last September. I woke one morning, to find my beloved 5 year old Labra-Doodle in grave condition. I called my family vet, whom we had used for years (Ridgeview Animal Hospital by Wal Mart on 180 and Center), to be told that I would have to pay an additional $75.00, because this was not a "scheduled" appointment. I was flabbergasted and began calling around to find a new vet. I had the great fortune of calling the Gretna Animal Clinic and they agreed to see us in an hour. Dr. Henning did not know me from Adam and he had never treated any of my animals before. He dropped everything to try and determine what was wrong with my sweet Boomer. He was compassionate, gentle, thorough, caring and tried to be optimistic and reassuring. We sadly lost my sweet Boomer, to Pancreatic Cancer the next day. Never at any point throughout this horrific ordeal, did Dr. Henning act inappropriate, rude or mention money. He and his staff were so very kind and compassionate. He handled all of the cremation details, so that all we had to deal with, was the tragic loss of our sweet boy. Once the dust settled, I was handed a very reasonable bill for his services. Dr. Henning is now our family vet. He cares for my 10 year old Maltese, and our new Doodle, named Charlie. For the record, go ahead and do some price comparisons. I would never choose a veterinarian based on cost alone, however, I know Gretna Animal clinic is more than reasonable. I would never take my furry kiddos anywhere else. Haters are gonna hate. Dr. Henning is amazing, compassionate and one hell of a " talented, experienced veterinarian".
