Rude in-take/desk clerk for today. Called ahead and asked if I could bring my dog in that was having issues. Lady specified that she had open appointments (which i confirmed online) as we had just been trying to get our dog seen for multiple hours and every emergency vet was at full capacity (8hrs+) She said yes come in we have opening today and we can get him seen after I explained his symptoms. When we showed up she first refused saying she talked to anyone and then told me specifically after she remembered we talked that (I said you shouldn't have left the emergency vet and to go back there). I kept trying to say she told me to come in and refused and even said "i dont care what the website says". So either the website is wrong/broken or the lady just didn't want to do her job. Her whole tone was belittling and rude.

Honestly, this place is terrible. We have been with them for two years. They misquote prices by a lot quite often, they have scheduled appointments and turned need them to drop off appointments, and they always have more vaccines for you to get...that they wait to tell you about...in the exam room and guilt you for hesitating or not getting them. Don't come here.

Most people were very nice but I visited on a day when the computers were not working so I couldn't pay that day. The person who called me twice the next day to pay was a bit insulting. I felt like a deadbeat - when it was their systems that were down, both in store and the 888 number they gave me to pay. Not a good first impression, and I've used Banfield for many years with 2 other dogs.

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding the care and communication I received after my dog, Lady’s, surgery on Friday, July 3 at Yadkin park location, NC.
On the same day, my cat Luna also had surgery. After Luna’s procedure, Dr. Thomas personally called me to explain how the surgery went and updated me on her condition, which I greatly appreciated.
However, my experience with Lady’s surgery was very different. Before the procedure, I received a phone call from Dr. Bailey to discuss and approve the cost of the surgery. After that, I waited for a phone call to let me know that the surgery had been completed and to hear how everything went. By nearly 5:00 PM, I still had not received any call, so I contacted the hospital myself. I was then told that the staff had forgotten to call me and that I should come to the hospital immediately.
When I arrived, Dr. Bailey came out and briefly started explaining the surgery. Because English is my second language, I wanted to call my husband so he could help me understand the medical explanation. I politely asked Dr. Bailey to wait just a moment while I called him. However, I was told that she was busy, and before I could connect my husband, Dr. Bailey had already left. A technician then came instead, but only explained how to give the medications. I never received an explanation of the surgery itself, the findings, the outcome, or what had been done.
Lady also had a dental examination and cleaning during the same visit. However, I never received any information about the dental findings or the results of that examination.
The following Monday, I called the hospital hoping to obtain the dental results and speak with someone about the surgery. I was told that Dr. Bailey was unavailable and that the manager, Ms. Leslie, would call me back because nobody couldn’t explain it to me. As of today, one week later, I still have not received that call.
I understand that veterinary hospitals can be very busy, and I truly appreciate the hard work of your staff. However, Lady is a beloved member of my family. Because her mass removal surgery was much more extensive than I had expected, I was very concerned and simply wanted to understand the results of the procedure and her condition. Instead, I never received the follow-up communication or explanation that I believe every pet owner deserves.
I have always trusted your hospital and have had positive experiences in the past, which is why this experience was especially disappointing.
I would appreciate a response regarding what happened and would still like to receive an explanation of Lady’s surgery, her dental examination results, and any pathology results if tissue was submitted for testing.
Thank you for your time. I look forward to hearing from you.
