  I love that Petco offers coupons but it’s not even worth it when you visit and no one is trying to help you or explain things thoroughly. My cat has been having urinary issues so we took him to the vet and our vet said we’ll have to start him on Hills Urinary CD dry food. So today we went to Petco to pick some up. When we get to the front, a young cashier asks if I have a “subscription card” I said no but I have an account with you all and I have an email where it says I’ll get $15 off anything over $50+ ( I had $30+ in my cart outside of the $40+ urinary food ) she said okay. After scanning everything and then scanning my coupon she states “yea.. I’m still going to need a subscription card from you” im confused because i already mentioned I don’t have one and she’s not offering any other options.. so I say “can you not just use my number? I already stated I donot have a subscription card.” She says “okay.” types my number in and then calls her manager. Doesn’t tell me what’s going on just stares at me. I ask if everything’s okay and she says her manager will be here shortly. When the manager arrives she states “I’m sorry ma’am you’re going to need a prescription from your vet to buy this food.” A PRESCRIPTION not SUBSCRIPTION why do you have people working there that don’t even know what’s needed to buy the food first and second when I told the manager my vet was the one who told me to get the food she stated “well they are going to have to give you a prescription to buy it.” She didn’t offer to call my vet, ask for the vet hospital name/number, or anything. I left without buying anything because I was so disappointed by the service and unfriendliness of the staff and IF I ever go to another Petco IT WILL NOT be that one.

  Although they seem understaffed, the staff is always so helpful and nice here!

  Grooming here I would not recommend. We dropped our dog off at 10am and they called us back at 2pm saying that they saw fleas on him and would not be able to finish the service. We rush to pick him up, take him to the vet and no sign of fleas.. we take him to another groomer about 2 days later and they were able to groom him with no problems and again no mention of fleas. I feel like they lied because they were busy or something else happened because it also looked like they tried to start cutting him, but to have him for 4 hours and only “bathed him” and then called for us to pick him up was absolutely insane. I called back the next day to try and get answers it they said they were training and busy so I couldn’t get an answer… again I recommend you take your service elsewhere.

  Kyler and Olivia have always been great. I used to go here daily because of my dogs prescription diet. The new manager (red head- can’t remember her name) has always been wonderful. My low star rating is for the tremendously rude groomer: I had gone in three different times to just get my dogs nails clipped and every time it was a different excuse. She was so incredibly rude I wouldn’t even trust her to touch my dogs. I have not been back since and will not set forth in that store. You lost yourself a customer
