  I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Banfield. I had drop off scheduled for my cat at 8:45 AM because she had been vomiting and wasn’t eating or drinking. Almost 8 HOURS went by without a single update. I had to repeatedly call just to be told they couldn’t draw her blood because she was supposedly being aggressive. What makes this frustrating is that my cat has NEVER had issues with aggression at the vet, whether I’m present or not. I ended up leaving work early to check on her, and after waiting another 20 minutes with no progress, I asked for her back and took her to an emergency vet since Banfield was closing at 6pm and it was already 5:30. The emergency vet was able to examine her, draw blood, and provide answers almost immediately. They also confirmed she was perfectly fine during handling, even without me in the room. To my knowledge, Banfield’s vet NEVER even physically examined her during the entire time she was there. As I was leaving, staff also mentioned finding tapeworms in her stool, which hadn’t been communicated to me at any point throughout the day. I understand being busy and short-staffed, but if you cannot provide care for a sick animal, COMMUNICATE that to the owner so they can seek help elsewhere. What if my cat had been critically ill? Those 8 hours could have made a huge difference. I’m beyond frustrated with the lack of communication and care. I’ve been to Banfield before, but this was my first time at this location. I’ve completely lost trust in Banfield as a whole.

  Not a good experience. I have no complaints about the people who work there. Banfield is not a good company. Predatory and unaccomindating is the nicest thing I can say. BTW still waiting for my " call back " to cancel. You can't talk to anyone at coorperate and the staff " can't " do cancelations.

  Morrisville location has been great from the start! Sam and Kyleigh helped me when I first found my stray kitten on the side of the road. They got me in last minute to make sure Fig was okay to be brought to my home. I always feel welcome there. I don’t feel like a customer, I feel like a friend.

  DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!!!! My German Shepherd almost died and was hospitalized for almost a week after spending the night fighting for her life at NC State emergency hospital because of banfield’s negligence. She went in for a dental cleaning and came out with a collapsed lung. She was the first appointment for the day and not one person contacted me to let me know she was in critical condition, I called them in the afternoon to see when I can pick her up and they informed me that ‘she wasn’t doing so well’ I asked for 5 mins to call my husband to see what we should do and when I called back 5 minutes later and asked them to monitor her until I can get there to pick her up I was told that they do not have the ‘manpower’ or ‘space’ to monitor her and that she has been placed in a kennel where she will stay until I get there because the next pet had to go onto the table for his dental cleaning. They only care about getting as much done and making as much money as they can, they do not care about your pets. When I arrived to pick her up, they told me she probably has underlying heart disease that caused her issues, that she was fine now but they can put in a referral to get a cardiac workup done. By the time we got to the emergency hospital from there she was barely breathing. Within 15 mins of our arrival the emergency vet told me that it looks like she aspirated during anesthesia her left lung collapsed and she had aspiration pneumonia. Oh and there is nothing wrong with her heart. 6 days and $4000 later she was finally well enough to come home. I am still waiting on a phone call from banfield to see how she is doing after they almost killed her. I would give them 0 stars if I could!
