- AAAshleyJun 14, 20261.0If I could leave zero stars I would. Today, Sunday, June 14 at 9 AM. We had a scheduled appointment at Banfield. If you look online the hours of operation say the pet hospital is open at 9 AM. I received appointment confirmations via email and yesterday received the online pre-check-in forms which we completed; see attached photos today. We arrived at our appointment and we’re surprised to see the doors were locked. Around 920 a woman in scrubs walked By us and I asked hi are you with Banfield. To which she coldly said no and just kept walking inside of PetSmart. I went back to the door and started knocking and rang the doorbell. Finally, someone came to the door and informed me that the Banfield pet hospital of PetSmart was closed on Sundays. I asked her how this could be if I was able to schedule an appointment. I told her about the women in scrubs and she said she was one of the groomers. I usually wouldn’t schedule with Banfield, but I did because We were able to get a weekend appointment. My dog has been suffering now for days and we have been waiting for this appointment to get her the help she needs. If I would’ve known that This would be the case, I would have just taken her to her regular vet. I wasn’t able to get off work this week so the weekend appointment seemed like a dream come true. I am extremely disappointed in this situation. You need to fix your website immediately because pet owners like myself are able to make appointments for days outside of normal operation hopeful that they will get their pet proper medical care and only to Be denied at the door.

We did make the appointment that exact day for a time in the afternoon that works for us. This facility waited until less than 24 hours before our scheduled appointment to call us and say well we can't do that the animal needs to be dropped off and you're not allowed to be with it and it needs to be in the morning by 8:00 a.m. We get told one thing and then Amy decides to tell us another thing over the phone. Y'all need to communicate internally because I followed what I was supposed to do and got punished for it

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
