Workers are all nice and quick but sent my dog home with pee all over him after his neuter (after telling me not to wet the incision there was pee covering almost his entire stomach and all of his legs.)

We had to euthanize our 14 year old chihuahua this afternoon. The staff were so compassionate to us and our furbaby. Showing respect to us and to our Butch. Highly recommend this group. It is so apparent that they care for their patients and want to offer the best. Made an untenable situation the best it could be. Thank you to them!

My little dog had a seriously rotten tooth that was needing urgent attention. My vet couldn't do surgery for a whole month and she was not gonna last that long without serious risk to her life. I must've called 8 or 9 vets and almost all had no dentist on staff! NC State tried everything they could to reject me as well finally stating that they only had a certain allotment of anesthesia per day and they'd used most of it on a dog that was hit by a car. If true, I completely understand. I'm just not sure why they didn't lead with that.
My vet's receptionist suddenly remembered Five Oaks and boy am I glad she did! They took us in the following morning first thing for an exam and scheduled surgery for Tuesday.
I cannot say enough about the kindness from everyone from the front desk to the vet tech to the vet himself. And the price was better than any place I've been in Jacksonville where I live. I highly recommend Five Oaks!

Was looking at switching my animals to this vet, as I have recently moved back to this area. ALL of my pet's vet records were sent to them from their previous vet (mind you, ALL were up-to-date, minus needing an updated heartworm test). Took all my animals to have a heartworm test completed at PetVet and forwarded results of those tests and even set up an appointment with them for the one that was heartworm positive. But because they are money hungry, they REQUIRED that I have them all physically seen in office to approve a PRESCRIPTION to be filled..... WHY am I going to pay you $65 PER PET to lay eyes on them to say "yes, this animal needs heartworm treatment filled to PREVENT them from getting heartworms following their negative test results on 3/28/26", when they are UP TO DATE animals coming from their previous vet?!?! OBVIOUSLY if I have the ONE scheduled to come to your facility this week (soonest available appointment) to the tune of almost $250 for treatment, I am looking to CARE for my animals, not pay you $260 extra (minimum) to lay eyes on them to approve a prescription for something they NEED, but don't need to be tested again for. FYI - I hastily cancelled that appointment and will be scheduling with Northside Animal Hospital, whom I previously utilized when I lived here before.

I called in with an urgent cattle need. They called back quickly and got me a prescription same day, even though I hadn't previously been a customer. Great customer service and one of the only cattle vets around.
