  ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I just wanted to take a moment to publicly thank Alex at Petco in Kannapolis for his knowledge, patience, and genuine kindness. Alex was incredibly understanding and truly thought outside the box. He took the time to ask questions and really understand my situation and what was going on with my fish. In a world where everyone seems to be so busy, Alex stopped, listened, and took the time to help me—and that meant so much. Petco, you have a star! 🌟 Employees like Alex are what make a difference in a customer’s experience. If you’re looking for great customer service and someone who genuinely cares, spend your money here! I will definitely be returning. Thank you again, Alex, for taking the time to help me.   We went in search of fish one day and left PetSmart because most of their tanks were under quarantine. We decided to check Petco and a few of their tanks were under quarantine as well. We were nervous to buy fish after seeing that but proceeded to buy fish anyway. We bought 12 or 13 fish because we have a large tank. Within the first five days, I would say about half of them died. I believe they had ick which is why the tanks there were quarantined. I could not return them within the five day window because we do not have a Petco in our town. The fish steadily kept dying since then and we have one left at this point. I believe we spent around $60 (and that was with a sale) and that money is in the trash. I’ve never had this kind of problem before and it’s odd that two stores in the same area both had super sick fish. I will say that the girl that helped us with very friendly and helpful. The cashier was nice as well.

  This place is amazing The staff is amazing, the store is clean, organized, and runs like a well oiled machine, you know what that means? The manager cares about the customers, staff, and have a heart for the field! First visit was the best, and definitely won't be our last! Pet Supply, Pet Smart move over now that we've found Petco now we don't have to settle anymore! ❤️‍🔥

  Good selection, def more harnesses than the other big box pet store. Finally found online that fits/works for the little lady.

  Do NOT purchase insect feeders here. I have been getting superworms and such from here for years as it's one of few local options, but the last 4 or 5 containers that I bought have died within 1-2 weeks. Mind you, superworms live up to 6 months before turning into beetles. Employees don't have much to say about it, one advised me to refrigerate them, not realizing this would kill them, so that shows how little they know about their product. To top it off, the last container I purchased, which will be the last thing I ever purchase from Petco, ERUPTED in grain mites. Literally millions of them, covering every square inch of surface the container was sitting on, which unfortunately was my bioactive tokay enclosure. This was around 2 weeks ago and I'm still dealing with them, as they're nearly impossible to eradicate, especially when they've contaminated tarantula enclosures and such. I'm out at least $50 at this point, as well as my sanity, so friendly warning to my fellow keepers, don't risk it, it's not even remotely worth it.
