I brought my 10 year old chihuahua, Zoey for a quality of life visit. The doctor on duty was so kind and explained everything that it entailed. Her assistant was also attentive of my emotiobal needs. Im so glad that they took care of her as entered her eternal sleep. Thank you for preparing me to be present. I appreciate everything you've done for Zoey.

This was our first time visiting this vet after spending hours in the emergency clinic across the street the night before. Our sweet Tinkerbell was failing and needed follow up after leaving the emergency clinic. We had lost faith in the vet we had been seeing for years and did not know where to go. Guildford-Jamestown Vet got us in right away at 9 am the next morning. To my heartbreak we made the decision to lay Tink to rest. Given her age 15 years 5 months and how rapidly she had declined over the past 5 days it was a kindness we owed her. All the staff were exceptionally kind, caring, sympathetic, and you could tell they were doing what the loved, taking care of animals. I can't thank them enough for the comfort and support they should me during this very difficult decision of saying goodbye to our beloved family member. The sweet receptionist up front even asked if she could provide me a hug, which I accepted.
Thank you, Guildford Jamestown Vet staff.

Part 1: I had called pet insurance regarding insurance claim on my dog who unfortunately passed away. I was notified insurance copy needed documentation. So I called insurance and asked what documentation. Vet office said it did not receive request so I called pet insurance again. I double checked that the vet office did indeed receive request this time. This time they wouldn’t let me get a word in edgewise and were rude. I was only following up on the paper trail since the bill was almost 1G, not to mention the emotional toll.
Part 2: I did receive a call back. Papers went through and the person I spoke to apologized for the inconvenience.
Part 3: My other dog had blood-work yesterday and I was to receive results today. If you look at their hrs it’s says “closing soon at 5:30”. No, not really cause their phones are switched off by 5:15, if not earlier. I know because I called and got the we are closed message. If your phone is not up and running, change your hrs listed of operation.

I made an appointment for my new 14 week old puppy. Within a few hours they called without any information to advise me that she would have to have all of her vaccinations again! I sent them a copy to review because the breeder of 20 years who is a vet tech and did her vaccinations told me no way should a puppy be vaccinated again which is what I thought too! After speaking to Diana and another lady and them telling me it was because the vaccinations could have been left out at the wrong temperature and they could not be as effective and they would rather be safe. I really felt like at this point it had nothing to do with safety for my puppy and it was all money. If they would double vaccinate my little puppy I had to wonder what else they might do. I immediately called and cancelled the appointment. I’m usually not one to write reviews but I’m one of those pet parents and I want you to beware!

This vet has gone so far downhill over the last few years. I had been taking my cat to them for almost 14 years and was still driving 30+ minutes just to keep him at the place he had always been seen. We were on the way to his yearly appt a month or so ago, I got stuck in awful traffic that I could not avoid. I promptly texted the number I'd been communicating with about details of the appt to let them know I was coming but was running late. When I got there, it took me 1-2 minutes to get him out and walk in the door. The receptionist also took a solid minute before she acknowledged me and when I told her that we were there for his appt she looked at the clock and informed me that they have a 10 min policy for appts and that I was 11 minutes late. I told her he desperately needed his pills because he's been on them his whole life. I also let her know I had a family member dying and a 4 month old baby at home. The only offer I was given even after sharing all of this was to wait an hour for another appt time or reschedule for a different day. I did not know of the 10 minute policy and had I been aware I would have rushed in and would've certainly been there ahead of the 10 minute cutoff. I understand as good as anyone having a policy, but the way I was treated was horrible. I have always been made to do bloodwork for them to refill his medicine, racking up a bill of 300-400 dollars. I went to a different vet the next week who did his exams and got him caught up on everything, and prescribed the pills he needed for less than 100. So beware, if life happens you will get NO understanding from them. The front desk receptionist was incredibly rude, and I sure hope she is never treated with the lack of sympathy she showed me. The vet tech Kristin is and always has been fantastic, but she's the only positive light that still exists there. Take your money elsewhere.
