We are new to Greensboro and a friend recommended Friendly Animal Clinic to us, so when my poodle mix developed seasonal allergies shortly after our move we decided to give them a try.
Well, we have found our new veterinary clinic! They live up to their name, and even more important they were great with my dog, listened to my concerns and helped me with them, and when they found I was using a medication that wasn't helpful for her issues they were kind about telling me so and recommending a good alternative.

I have been bringing my animals here for years. I have recommended them to all who would listen. Yes, they are pricey but I considered it worth it. Not anymore. The first incident was when I cancelled their wellness plan for my 2 dogs. They weren’t puppies anymore and I could no longer justify the monthly cost for annual appointments. 2 years passed, no issues. Until one day they tell me that my account is on hold because I hadn’t made a payment on my wellness plan for 2 years! I explained to them that I had called and cancelled and hadn’t been billed. They claimed to have no record. They told me that I owed all the money for a plan I hadn’t even used in that timeframe. The cost was almost $1400!! It was absolute insanity and many people told me to leave then but for some reason I didn’t listen. Then they tried to tell me my chihuahua needs to have her teeth cleaned every 6 months for $1200. When I said having it done that often seemed a bit much and I didn’t know anyone who did that, the vet told me if I loved my dog, I would do it… that was the second time I should have realized they were money hungry and left. Today was the final straw. I had scheduled an appointment for my dogs several weeks in advance. I took off work to take them. I showed up for the appointment and they said they gave my appointment away because they said I never confirmed the appointment. Again, I have been going here for years. We come several times a month to pick up various meds for my dogs. They see us OFTEN. I have never responded to a text message appointment reminder. There was never a call. Just to let me know when I arrived, on time, that my appointment was given to someone else… mind you, WE WERE THE ONLY CAR IN THE PARKING LOT. While there, I asked them to cancel another wellness plan I had for our other dog, who is also no longer a puppy but wanted some reassurance that we would not run into the same problem as before. She shrugged her shoulders and told me it’s just a click of a button, there’s no problem… my head could have exploded because why was that not the case before when they wanted to back charge me for 2 years?? Shame on me for not leaving sooner. I already have my cats at a different vet, I will just move my dogs as well. It is a shame because previously, I was very happy with them but I agree with other commenters, they are not the same as they once were.
Very friendly, very professional and very good at what they do.

We had the pleasure of having Dr.Steins as our dogs vet. She was so incredible we followed her here to friendly animal clinic. Our rottie was fear aggressive and sometimes the vet visits were a struggle for all involved. She developed a plan that kept everyone safe, happy, and calm for all visits. She helped us navigate through immune disorders, allergies, and cancer. We are so appreciative of this clinic and she is why we will continue to drive over an hour to bring our animals to her in the future. To Dr. Steins: Thank you for taking care of our Barrett.
