Extremely frustrating and unprofessional experience. I received a text from Petco yesterday confirming that my pet’s Vetco appointment was scheduled for Sunday, August 9 at 10:10 AM. I even verified the address to make sure I was going to the correct location. Then this morning at 9:40 AM, I received ANOTHER text reminding me that my appointment was TODAY at 10:10 AM and telling me to arrive 10 minutes early. I showed up at the correct address and on time, only to find out the clinic was CLOSED. I was then told they only provide Vetco services on certain days. To make matters worse, when I went back into the app to check the appointment, it had completely disappeared like it was never scheduled. How do you confirm an appointment twice, send a reminder 30 minutes before the appointment, have the customer verify the location and drive there with their pet, only for the clinic not to even be operating that day? That is a complete waste of my time and extremely poor communication and scheduling. Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to take your pet. After this experience, I definitely will.

My husband brought in our dog last week to get his monthly flea, tick and heart worm preventative. At the appointment they failed to weigh him or do an exam, instead they just handed my husband the medicine and filled out the paperwork based off what he was at last month. Last month my dog weighed 45 pounds this month he weighed 41 putting him at a different weight class for the medication dosage. I knew my dog was skinnier and assumed they would’ve weighed him but they didn’t. So I brought him back in today and told them the situation they told me they don’t usually do returns then started weighing random stuff on the scale to see if it was wrong. They ended up giving me the correct dosage (not willingly) but if I didn’t know and gave him the higher dose he could’ve had fatal side effects. I’m sure many people are unaware of the side effects just like my husband and could potentially give their dogs the wrong dosage. They need to do their jobs correctly so they can keep everyone’s pets healthy.
