  My family and I purchased two fish over the weekend, and during the interaction of getting the fish one was dropped in the sink in front of us and the associate struggled to get it back in the bag for us to take home. Once we got to the register the bag containing the fish was plopped on the counter aggressively causing the fish to be jerked around. Within 7 hours one of the fish had died ( after slowly watching it lose life). We thought it just needed time to adapt to a new tank but it never recovered. When we took the fish back to exchange it out for a new one (that hadn’t been negligently handled), they told us it was our water that caused it to die. (Keep in my mind the other fish we purchased is thriving just fine!) So they refused to exchange out the fish and instead told us we needed to purchase $40 worth of products for the tank. Once we declined because we have products at home the associate commenced to yell at us as we left the store that if we didn’t buy the products recommended by them our other fish would die too! I have always used Petco for my fish and I have never had such a horrible experience until this weekend. The lack of professionalism and care for the pets they sell was infuriating and unacceptable. I still can’t believe we left the store today without a replacement fish as well as embarrassment because we chose to spend our money at store where we would be treated better!!

  I had a really good experience at this Petco. The staff was super friendly and patient with my puppy, Shadow, a six-month-old Cane Corso. They gave her treats and treated her with a lot of care. The atmosphere was calm and pleasant. Even when I had car trouble and it was parked there for a while, they were understanding and kind. I didn’t use the grooming services, so I can’t comment on that, but when it comes to customer service, they were excellent. I totally recommend this place.

  Anna nor alurah dose not do 7 point check ins with pets they just put them back. They treat others unkindly if your not liked by them. The grooming department people are not good people at all just my opinion. Super disappointing they allow people to work there who do not fallow rules. I will not be talking my pet back to that petco location at this point on and will not recommend them to anyone.

  Drove to Petco in Dunn which is about 15 miles out of my way because I typically really like the store however on this lovely Saturday afternoon, I went in to try to purchase a frog for my aquarium. After standing around for about 20 minutes. Went to ask if the employee at the front could help me at the aquariums, to be told no by the girl at the counter who was literally doing nothing, and there was maybe one other person in the store. She went on to tell me that because she was the only person there she could not sell any animals or help with any animals which pretty crazy because I bought every single one of my fish there and every single time I’ve been in there there’s been one person working and they have always been more than willing to come and help me.Why on earth would you decide of all days on a Saturday when people are out running around to decide you just can’t help anyone with the “pets” in a frigging pet store???
