Any care, questions, or after visit help is non-existent. They prescribed medication and then refused to answer any questions about the treatment once I left the building. For any questions, make a new appointment. The Vet who sees you will likely NOT be working there after your visit, as they rotate. The care on site seems fantastic, just realize that any further interaction with the care team is on a 'make another appointment' basis. The basic question I couldn't get an answer to was 'is this normal for the treatment course or is it unusual?'. The answer was 'make an appointment'. Is it normal to have to keep draining fluid from your cat when they are on FIP treatment? I still don't know, but my cat is headed for the rainbow bridge.

The service at the front desk should be retrained. Why did I bring my dog in because he was breathing abnormally just to be asked by the person at the front desk if he had just come from a walk…no concern for my dog that I had for 9 years (acting like I didn’t know him at all) or me for being emotional about what was happening with him. All of this before she even pulled up his info I filled out before coming in. Turned out, he had cancer and passed a week later so the fact that she was so nonchalant about making it seem like I didn’t know my own dog I had since he was 8 weeks old was infuriating. A little empathy goes a long way. Do better.

I seriously can’t thank this vet enough. They saved Captain’s life during one of the scariest nights we’ve ever had. The whole team was quick, caring, and made us feel like Captain was in the best hands. Because of them, we still have our boy with us, and that means everything. Forever grateful for what they did for Captain.

We have had such mixed experiences here at CVS. The first time we came when our dog got bit, we had a wonderful experience. We had a great vet and amazing care from the receptionist and remaining staff. Recently, we brought in our dog for emergency services and had to visit twice in one day. The first time we came in the afternoon, we had a pleasant experience with the same doctor we had when our dog was bit. When we came in in the evening, it was a completely different experience. We were there from 9pm-2:30am waiting for our dog to be x-rayed in a very cold room. The receptionist that was there at the time was very kind and brought our dog water and apologized profusely for the wait time. The vet and techs that evening were very cold and short. We understand that there are other emergency that take precedence over others but it is beyond wild to me that for an emergency clinic, there was only ONE doctor with a handful of techs. For a hospital this size, how is there not more support? Nobody on call to come in. The vet that did come in was very short and rude--no bedside manner at all. I understand he probably felt very overwhelmed with all the severe cases that were coming in and from being stretched thin but that doesn't dismiss manners. We had a follow up question after we left and we called. One of the vet techs answered and said "there's nothing more we can do" and disengaged from the rest of the conversation. I will NEVER come back here again. We went to Veg Charlotte shortly after and had a night and day experience. Avoid this place at all costs! It is not worth it.
