Very unreliable and frustrating experience with Banfield. We made an appointment for our cat, but they could not see us because their online scheduling is not reflect their availability even though we received confirmation. They said this has been an ongoing problem and continue blaming corporate for not fixing their online scheduling system. At this point, you cannot even trust that you will actually have a visit when you make an appointment. Very poor management, unreliable service, and unacceptable for a pet hospital.

Banfield has been one of the most frustrating and unreliable veterinary services I have ever dealt with, but the Sharon Amity location has been particularly disappointing and irresponsible. Sharon Amity was our go-to Banfield location, and unfortunately, our experiences there have repeatedly made me question why I am paying for a Banfield Wellness Plan in the first place. Whenever my kitten actually needs to be seen, getting an appointment is incredibly difficult. And even when the system shows an available appointment and I book it, I cannot feel confident that the appointment will actually be honored or that I will receive the care I am paying for. Especially yesterday, I booked an appointment and when I got there they told me that they can’t visit my cat and it was just their online system issue that let me to book the spot!!!!! This is not like trying to get a haircut or schedule a routine service. When your pet is sick, veterinary care cannot be treated as an optional convenience. We have also experienced problems with Banfield’s appointment system at other locations, including being turned away from a confirmed appointment because of a system issue. That experience only reinforced how unreliable the entire system has become. However, Sharon Amity has been our primary location, and their repeated lack of availability, poor communication, and overall irresponsibility have been the most disappointing part of our experience. I pay a significant amount every month for the Wellness Plan specifically so my pet can have access to veterinary care when needed. But if I cannot actually get an appointment when my kitten is sick, then what exactly am I paying for? needs to seriously address its appointment availability, booking system, communication, and—most importantly—the way its hospitals handle situations involving sick animals. Pet owners should be able to trust their veterinary provider. At this point, I absolutely do not trust Banfield, and I am seriously questioning whether continuing to pay for the Wellness Plan makes any sense.

Outstanding staff. They are caring and concerned and always provide a really great experience. My pets are the most important thing to me and I trust this staff at Banfield with them.
