  Every single time I go I either have to wait for an hour after my appointment time to be seen, or I drop my dog off and have to wait an hour or even 2 after the pickup time to get my dog. There have been days where I dont get my dog until an hour after they close. I paid for the care plan and am canceling it right away. It is so unacceptable. I dont even want to add up how many hours of my time this place has wasted.

  Banfield Pet Hospital at Rivergate has the best staff that I've experienced in the 15 years that my dog has been a patient of Banfield. From the front desk to the clinical team, everyone shows such great care and compassion for my dog. The doctors are exceptional and I value their expertise and recommendations. I always look forward to my dog's preventive visits because I know that he will receive the best care!

  I have dropped my dog off a few times and now I've signed up for Optimum Wellness Plan. This is the first time I have responsibility for a dog (he belongs to my grandson). His work schedule keeps him from caring for the dog as I feel he should so I have him most of the time. All of this care and responsibility is new for me so I have no prior service in which I can compare it. I'm learning a great deal about dogs and their various needs.. to compare it

  Absolute nightmare of a location !!! Employees at the counter act like lost robots and can’t perform the simplest of task. Do yourself a favor and drive just a little bit further and go to the Rock Hill location. It is truly a night and day difference.

  Extremely poor communication and customer service. Perhaps overbooked and understaffed? This location has seemed to go downhill in the past few months. We purchased the puppy optimal wellness plan for the first year of care for our large breed pup, mostly to cover her shots and spay. It expires at the end of this month so I brought my dog in for a fecal float test not yet fulfilled from the plan , as well as for a refill of our pup’s Simparico Trio. After our dog spent a full day at the hospital- literally 8 am to 4:30 pm, I received a call that she was finally ready to go and that they couldn’t do the fecal test or refill her Simparico. THE ONLY REASONS SHE WAS THERE. I was then also told that they were canceling her spay on July 23rd because she was too large. I had scheduled this spay 3 months ago and was never given this information. They just said sorry there was nothing they could do and I was left scrambling to find a different Banfield that could spay her before her wellness plan expires at the end of the month. Needless to say, we are not happy and will not be returning to this location.
