- YJYazmin JuarezSep 25, 20261.0Unfortunately we are going to have to leave a bad review because what has happened with our two recent visits has been enough to want to warn others. We have taken our two dogs to Banfield for over 12 years now. We love our OWP and the vets and vet techs at this location since before they got the location on S Church St and were still inside Petsmart. However, the last two times we have been charged for things included in our wellness plan because Damien at the front desk has failed to review our profile correctly. Our senior dogs are having to visit more often and require services they didn’t used to. Damien has been the only person to ever call us for payment after we’ve picked up our pets, and charged us for services included in the wellness plan we pay for monthly. This is then handled with a cold and standard “you’ll get notification of the refund and should see your money back in a few days.” What has been confusing about this is that in order to know what to charge us, our file surely must be pulled up. Unsure if this is a system issue or a personnel issue. We have to assume the latter as again, Damien is the only person this has ever happened with through many years and new systems and practices. Unfortunately, we’ll not be returning to this location because it isn’t the money we are concerned about but the strange and unexpected principle that’s not sitting right with us. Luckily we have other Banfield Pet Hospitals to resort to.

She was the GOAT got us answers as soon as possible kept checking on Nitro. She will be my two dogs Vet from now on! We highly recommend Banfield in Burlington NC. The staff was caring and attentive.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
