They have seen my Rottie, Roxy, since she was 4 months and she has really come along with trusting everyone. The veterinary is knowledgeable and supportive.
- CTCarli Cockrell (teachercarli)May 12, 20265.0Our beautiful Ellie cat had some concerning eye trouble, and after already going to the ER vet (which is normally our primary too), I didn't feel right about the diagnosis of nothing being wrong when her pupils looked so odd, so when Great Plains was recommended as an option who could see us quickly, I got Ellie on the schedule. Dr. Johnson got down on the floor with Ellie, did a neurological exam, and then did a thorough eye exam. We started with wait a week, and then when the problem didn't clear up, we went to lab work which looked perfect. Dr. Johnson understood I still wanted answers and we kept in contact via email and text, and when I mentioned there was a new veterinary opthalmologist in Bozeman, she reached out and worked with Dr. Warren to provide a referral. We ended up in Bozeman today and got the answer to our little Ellie's eye issues, and I have NO DOUBT that Dr. Johnson is the reason why I was able to get Ellie to a specialist. If I hadn't sought a second opinion, I truly think my cat's care would have progressed eventually to an irreversible eye issue instead of is being able to intervene early. Ellie will need lifelong eye drops more than likely. Dr. Johnson's trust in me knowing something was wrong and her willingness to take the time for the referral is the reason we have the answers we do today. Thank you, Dr. Johnson, and the staff at Great Plains!
