  I have been so disappointed with this Petco location. I have always taken my dog to Petco and usually she’s wrapped up within 1.5 hr, but always 2 hr. This location is usually about 3-4 hours and my dog is a Great Dane, does not have long/matted hair or anything, just a bath and essentials like teeth brushing, nails, etc. Then I have had issues with some comments made by staff about my 110 lb dog needing to be VIP because she’s so big and can’t fit in the kennels — when it is notated before any appt how large she is (XXL bath) plus I take her monthly so they are aware of her size (she is small for a Dane). So I get annoyed seeming like they are trying to squeeze extra money out due to their own unpreparedness. And today was the last straw, I cannot in good faith recommend this location because my dog was left unattended. I received the text saying my dog was ready for pickup and 16 minutes later I was at Petco, with no staff to be found. I waited awhile since I thought no one heard me come in, and after waiting and calling out twice, I walked into the store where the cashiers had my dogs receipt and had to have someone go back there and get my dog. She was in a room with the door shut all by herself and that is just irresponsible. I was told that the closer did not show up for their shift, but the staff member still left - I understand she may have needed to go somewhere but you are telling me that no staff member in Petco could have waited 16 minutes? Or better yet, someone notified me sooner so I could get my dog a little earlier? The wait is something I’ve grown used to at this location but the safety of animals in your care is paramount, I cannot believe the one requirement you should be able to meet, animal supervision, was so flippantly disregarded. I will find a new groomer, one I can trust with my dog.

  The grooming experience at the Petco in Meridian, MS was the worst most traumatic experience my fur baby and I have ever had! Moving to a new city is stressful enough but finding the right service for your fur baby adds to that stress, so imagine our anxiety when visiting a new grooming salon became our worst nightmare. Watching the tech yell and pull on my baby was awful. Just to be sure I wasn't over reacting, I stood at the observation window a few moments longer and watched her repeated be aggressive with my boy. When I went inside to let her know that her behavior was not acceptable and that she was scaring him, she yells "I am not." I worked very hard not to cause a scene and stood there to calm my baby who was highly agitated at this point. Then to add insult to injury customer service on the call line was awful as well!. I will NEVER take my boy to another PETCO in any state. Oh, and the cut was atrocious!

  Bella looked so good after her grooming appt & loved her new scarf. Hair was trimmed perfectly & nails trimmed & buffed. Highly recommend Petco services.
