  This was by far the WORST grooming experience I have ever had. My dog was kenneled for over 3 hours waiting for an haircut, even after having an appointment. The groomer also did not follow my request and cut my dog’s hair too short. The ONLY bright spot was Nina and Deija (store manager) who were both apologetic. My dog is traumatized and I’m very upset that I subjected him to this experience.

  This was not a good experience. I kept insisting I didn't want my puppy's hair cut and the groomer kept insisting on it. Once I relented, I noticed several cuts on my puppy and the hair was noticeably uneven by the clippers. Tahlor did a good job during our first grooming session but this groomer did not do a good job.

  Being that she has only went to one place for grooming I was reluctant to take her, but Prada came out so beautiful. However, I dropped her at 11:30 am, I didn’t pick my dog up until 3:30 pm. That is too long for an animal that doesn’t like cages or crates to be just sitting there. That was the only frustrating part with the visit. I would say time management and scheduling should be more spaced out if any animal is coming.

  I’m extremely disappointed with the grooming service at the Petco Madison location. The haircut they gave my dog was completely butchered and looks nothing like what was requested. On top of that, her coat now has what appears to be dandruff falling off, which was never an issue before the visit. Her ears were also not cleaned, and she smelled like she wasn’t even bathed at all, which defeats the entire purpose of paying for a grooming service. What’s even more concerning is that I found two ticks on her after bringing her home. I was specifically told that if any ticks were found during grooming, they would treat her with flea and tick products, but that clearly did not happen. The most disrespectful part of the entire experience was how I was treated during pickup. One of the groomers held onto my dog and acted as if I wasn’t going to pay for the service, refusing to release her until payment was made. I’ve been to other Petco locations and have never been treated like that before. Overall, this was a very poor experience. Between the terrible grooming quality, lack of basic hygiene care, failure to address ticks, and unprofessional behavior, I would not recommend this location to anyone.
