They took very gentle care of my cats who are 16&15 years old and I will definitely be taking all my pets to them

These people are the most unhelpful vets I've had to deal with. Almost everyone is one financial hiccup from being homeless and yet they won't do broken up payments and they won't give any advice over the phone regardless on how minuscule it could be. I asked what I could use to clean a small wound and they would have to look at my pet to tell me what would be safe?
To have your animal looked at it costs $400. I had gone to them prior to this because my cat had some dry skin and I wanted topicals for him. They did $300 in 2 tests that both came back negative. I paid $100 for pills for dry skin allergies. My only explanation was "tis the season for allergies". If you knew it was likely allergies, why not give the pills and if they didn't help we come back for additional testing? I was still charged for the useless tests. If all I was going to get from this exchange was pills why the hell am I paying for these ridiculously expensive tests?
I had behavioral concerns about my cat and for $400 I should have been taken seriously and given advice. I'm expressing concerns and it felt like I was talking to a wall. I got handed a packet on identifying the emotions/causes behind the behavior that I had already researched myself prior. I needed advice, I needed help and I got a print out sheet on body language. I have a cat that switches moods like that. He can be so calm, social and cuddly and then suddenly he takes off and climbs my walls leaving gaping scratches in the dry wall. I have spent hundreds on toys and scratch posts he has no interest in. He ruins my clothes and furniture for fun and play and he has to be separated from other cats because he is too aggressive. I have concerns about getting puncture wounds every time I clean his food bowls or do his litter box and I got a printout on body language in cats. I kept asking questions and the vet could not be any less interested in anything I was worried about. God forbid they provide any advice over the phone, and this was the "help" I got in store for $400. This isn't a health facility. this is a business. Health or wellbeing hasn't felt like the concern within the last year I've been here and that's really disappointing because I really felt like the staff cared when I started going there. We would have friendly exchanges about each other's pets and now I'm researching new clinics. That being said I think the techs/assistants are lovely. They've always been kind and considerate and they seem like they really love and care about the work they do. I've never been dismissed by them once for any concerns I had. The head doctor and Vetco's money centralized policies are completely unreasonable in this era.
Something has to give. I wasn't asking for guided open heart surgery. I asked for advice on a mild injury that could be treated at home because I couldn't afford the $400+ to go in store and waste my time with excessive testing. I would never recommend coming here for anything aside from standard vaccinations or spay/neuter treatments. There was no rhyme or reason to anything I experienced this year at this clinic. Other clinics will give advice over the phone however most only will if you had visited them at least once or are established with them. These policies and practices only serve the interests of company profit, and not the wellbeing of family pets. Unless money isn't anything you have to think twice about I would strongly recommend local clinics that operate with your pets best interests in mind.
Edit: And one more thing. Many, people also commented on having the same shady experiences with prices and how condescending, judgmental and biased the head doctor is, and the responses from the company are so robotic and copy and paste. Why bother responding to any of these reviews with such pointless corporate speak? Say or do something constructive or do nothing at all. Nobody is fooled that this company actually cares about pet health and wellness.
