I want to give a huge thank you to Chris, Hannah and the entire MMK9 team. My two boys got into a serious fight and one was severely hurt. I was very overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. I reached out explaining what’s going on and was able to set up an evaluation quickly. Chris spent so much time answering my questions and setting up a plan to work with each of my boys. One of my boys had a serious neck injury and they were able to work around that safety while still training. They cared for the boys like they were family. Every time I visited I was impressed with the progress they were making and grateful for all the time taken to teach me as well. My boys are both home now but I know I still have their support for anything that comes up. I cannot say enough good things about the MMK9 team!!

I booked an appointment with Amy to groom my labradoodle. She did an excellent and exemplary job with my doodle, capturing every detail I had asked for. Amy and the staff are friendly and desire to please. It is obvious they love dogs. Amy made my dog feel comfort from the moment we walked in the door. When I came to pick up doodle, he seemed very happy and relaxed. I highly recommend MMK9 grooming. The facility it very neat and clean.

I'm thankful to say I know Chris (trainer) through many professional avenues- first as the trainer of one of my coworkers' dogs, and then later as I took care of some of his dogs at my place of work. I was impressed with him based on those experiences initially, so when the time came to choose a trainer for our family dog I didn't hesitate to reach out.
Chris and Hannah did a great job at tackling the situation that was named 'Fritz'- a formerly stray Belgian Malinois (if you know you know) that had been hit by a car and picked up by Animal Control and later the Lauber household. Fritz was recovering from injury that left him slightly hard of hearing and with a major head tilt, but he also needed some help overcoming some serious trust issues.
To me, the difference between a elementary dog trainer and a great dog trainer is the ability to approach from a comprehensive, holistic stance. It's great that Chris and his team were able to root out his behavioral issues, but it's a step above to have had him also do some PT for the head tilt, some dental maintenance for his teeth and some diet consultation as well.
The team at MMK9 is also strongly family focused, and I think that's also evident in their training style. Chris was able to ensure that Fritz would be comfortable and compliant with training not only in our own home (he drove 2 hours to our house in the country) but also in his own home, with his own dogs, children, and wife. Fritz was also introduced to areas such as (but not limited to) dog parks, pastureland, Bass Pro, busier sidewalks and public spaces. He even did a day of training with Fritz and my personal dog, Tuesday, ensuring they knew how to play together in a safe manner.
To finish out the already great training experience, we had Fritz groomed. As someone who works in the veterinary field and saw how Fritz came out of the Greene County shelter- I was very impressed with how he had been bathed and de-shedded. When he arrived home, he definitely was snuggle-able like a blanket fresh out of the wash.
Chris and Angie- thank you for including Fritz in your family. I couldn't recommend these guys enough.

I came to MMK9 pretty desperate. I have a 2-year-old, 110lb American Bulldog mix named Dez (my first dog ever) and the last couple of years had been genuinely overwhelming. Multiple moves, major life changes, and a dog with more energy, muscles, and impulse control problems than I knew how to handle. I consulted with four different trainers before MMK9 and just didn't feel right about any of them.
But I was referred to MMK9 and what was supposed to be a 30-minute consultation turned into 2.5 hours. Chris immediately connected with Dez and saw him as Dez, not another dog to put through a program. He understood what I was dealing with (partially because Dez peed on the treadmill within 5 seconds), took my concerns seriously, and made me feel like Dez was in genuinely good hands.
It was hard to drop him off for a whole month, but I saw real progress every week I visited. And when they brought him home, his eyes were genuinely brighter, he was more engaged, more responsive. And they trained me a lot too, including real-world training sessions (shout-out Hannah!)
I came in just trying to survive the day with him. I left actually understanding him; his communication, his needs, what he's really capable of.
The best money I've ever spent. If you're on the fence, go meet Chris and team!

We are so thankful for Chris, Hannah and the rest of the team at MMK9! They have helped so much with our anxious and quirky pup's long list of behaviors. During our dog's training program, they provided frequent updates about her progress and accomplishments. They genuinely listened to our concern areas and made sure to incorporate those experiences directly into her training. Not only did they train our dog, but they also trained us. We now feel so much more confident in our ability to be the owners that our dog needs us to be. The follow-up training sessions with Chris have been so helpful for applying everything she learned during training into our day-to-day lives. We couldn't be happier with the progress we've seen so far - thank you, MMK9 team!
