- CYChristian YowSep 24, 20261.0I showed up on time for my appointment. I waited awhile for them to take my dog. They told me they’d call when he (dog) was ready. I don’t live close by so I decided to wait in the parking lot because I didn’t want to waste the gas. I waited THREE HOURS for just a wellness checkup. On top of that there was issues at the front desk I had to deal with. Don’t bring your dog to this Petco veterinary clinic. Go to a real one.

- EHEmily HopeAug 30, 20261.0I’d never had a bad experience with this practice until I brought my cat in to have some bumps on her head examined. Not only did the vet insult my intelligence and provide generally terrible service, I also ended up with fleas in my house after the visit. Since my cat is entirely indoor, has never had fleas, and I have no other pets, the timing is pretty suspicious. If you want to pay over $70 be treated disrespectfully and then deal with fleas as a bonus, highly recommend.

Our young cat died after we were essentially told “nothing is wrong with her” even when she wasn’t eating, drinking, had lost 2 pounds in a week and fell off the table without catching herself. They didn’t seem concerned, they didn’t push for blood work, they brushed it off and told us to wait until Monday. Well, she became paralyzed and died due to liver failure the following day. I try not to blame anyone. We are heartbroken and grieving, and sure, maybe it was hard to notice. But this could have been prevented if the staff took an extra step or actually cared… Please just take your pet to an emergency vet or ask for bloodwork or scans to avoid headache.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
