After years of intermittent illness and subsequent misdiagnoses, she figured out our dog had Addison's disease. She took her time with us, helped us develop a plan that not only was best for our dog but that worked best for us as her owners, was very informative, and you could tell she truly cared.
- JJJackieMay 26, 20261.0The vet here seems to be overworked and burnt out? This clinic has no interest in helping my dog long term, just treating symptoms/putting a bandaid on initial issues. The vet couldn't wait to get off the phone with me, I got zero answers, was told it was NOT a certain disease but told that I should buy and give my dog medications that treat that disease?! But has no diagnosis otherwise. All testing I asked about I was told was not needed. Zero education given on what to do to prevent this from happening again. Last time they sent us home after refusing to give her fluids as requested, my dog had a seizure later that day and had to go to the ER Looking at the reviews, Banfield and it's culture seems to be the problem overall - not the vets themselves. There's a reason they don't retain vets or staff. We've been going here for years and never see the same people. Almost $500 for 1 blood test (not even a full set of labs), drop off exam, 2 meds, and an injection. Absolutely a waste of money. And don't ever sign up for their wellness plans. You can't EVER cancel without paying them for the full cost of the services- even at the end of your plan year. It's an absolute scam. Today was the last straw, we won't be back.

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
