AEC cares about the animals, they are budget conscious and upfront about pricing (very much not cheap: $175 exam fee as of writing) but are most concerned about identifying the problem and putting the animals needs first. Each member of the staff seem to enjoy their job and speak confidently in what they know and don’t know. A doctor 24/7 is hard to come by. Especially one that really listens to all the details. We are on a 0% interest payment plan for 12mo. Puppy is much happier.

Staff was very compassionate and professional. I thank them for that. My only problem was I stood at the door with a dog that was seizing for 10 minutes because your doorbell didn't work. FIX your doorbell.

We brought our elderly shepherd here because she was bleeding from her rear and we were understandably concerned. After waiting for more than two hours with a stressed, uncomfortable dog, the vet briefly examined her and told us she was dehydrated. Given how long we had been waiting without any opportunity for her to drink water, that observation was frustrating and did not address the reason for our visit. The vet pressed on a few areas, then left. After another delay, my husband decided to leave and follow up with our regular vet the next day. At that point, we were told they were about to discuss options including X-rays and even the possibility of cancer. We were charged $175 despite receiving no diagnosis and no treatment. The following day, our regular vet examined her, lifted her tail, immediately identified an abscess, and drained it on the spot. She was prescribed a week of antibiotics and was otherwise found to be healthy for her age. What is most disappointing is that a simple examination by our regular vet quickly identified the source of the problem, while our dog endured hours of stress at this facility and we left with anxiety about serious conditions that turned out not to be the issue. We understand emergency hospitals can be busy, but based on our experience, we did not receive the level of care, attention, or diagnostic thoroughness we expected. Based on this experience, we would not recommend this clinic to other pet owners and will not be returning.

We took our pet rabbit in at about 8:30 on a Thursday night. They took her in the back right away. A little over an hour later the doctor finally came in to talk to us, they hadn't began treating her yet. She said they were going to do x rays, we had to pay $250+ before they proceded. Once paid, the doctor disappeared for 2+ hours. During that time 4 other customers came in with their pets. When the doctor came back, she said they didn't know what was wrong with her but she wanted to put some fluid under her skin and give her some medications even though she didn't know what was wrong with her. We had to pay another $160+ and she disappeared for another hour+. Finally at 1am, 4 1/2 hours after we got there and $400+ we were the last ones to leave, even those that arrived a couple of hours after us were gone. I don't mind paying a premium price for premium service but we paid a very premium price for very, very poor service. We have had 2 dogs put down there and we paid a very premium price and got premium service both times. If that's the service that you're looking for, this might be the place for you. If you're needing any other service, I would recommend trying somewhere else, it couldn't be any worse.

Very stressful event led me to bring my dog in while we were far from our normal vet. They were open on Memorial Day and able to see us right away. They were efficient, calm, kind, friendly, knowledgeable and just overall wonderful. While I wasn’t happy to have that happen on a holiday, I couldn’t have landed in a better spot. Very strongly recommend.
