I was able to get my dog in for a same day appointment due to my original vet cancelling. The staff was very kind and tolerant of my dog’s anxiety. They handled her like true professionals. I might consider driving the half hour from my home just to visit these kind people again!

If they had an option to give zero stars, I would.. I scheduled an appointment for my fur baby on Monday 6/6/26. I took my baby in, and I expressed to them that something was moving in the womb on my dog mouths. Not only did I expressed this a few times I was told by the veterinarian that it wasn’t what I thought(botfly). He told me that it could be a possible bee sting or maybe a thorn stuck in my dogs wound.. I told him I don’t think that’s it because whatever it is it’s literally moving. Chris did a brief look over of my dog and prescribed her a steroid and an antibiotics and said she will be feeling better within 4 to 6 hours.. The vet did advise me that he would call and The following day. Don’t get me wrong. He was very gentle and loving to my dog, but he did not take my concern seriously when I expressed them to him. Chris called and said it was my dog back to normal. I said somewhat, The swelling had went down some But she still wasn’t eating and drinking as normal.. He told me she should be OK by tomorrow he’ll call back and check because Wednesday they were closed and he’ll try back Thursday. By the time Thursday came around my dogs wound had gotten worse and had a foul odor coming out, Drain drainage And she wasn’t doing any better.. I called Thursday morning to see if I can get an appointment in. Because I had already paid for services for my dog and didn’t feel like I should have gone somewhere else. They told me that the doctor was in a meeting and was going to call me back. I didn’t hear from the doctor until later the afternoon. By that time, I had taken my dog to Vetco on 135th in Overland Park. The staff was prompt about giving my dog the care she needed and listen to what I explained to them Her symptoms. They took her to the back immediately and Dr.Marion Try to remove the botfly. After seeing that, it hurt my puppy, he then explained to me that he will have to sedate her, Keep her for a few hours after to make sure she’s OK and we’ll prescribe her medication and she will be OK to go home by lunchtime.. Dr. Marion Kept his promise and by 11 AM I had already gotten an update on how my dog was doing.. I am upset because my dog went through unnecessary pain that she didn’t have to sustain. When I called to talk to the HOM Jenny, She was very nonchalant about the situation and said that she had spoke with the vet and he explained to her that her mouth wasn’t that swollen And he misdiagnosed her. The only thing that she could assure me was that I probably talked to a call center versus talking to someone who was actually there at the Lee Summit location. That was all that she apologize for and the misdiagnosis. She asked me what did I expect to Them to do, I told her the people in Overland Park advised me to speak with her because she wouldn’t make it right. Instead, she acted unapologetic and sympathetic about me having to spend extra money and to travel 45 minutes away from my house to get the proper care from my dog. In the end of the conversation, she just told me that she could escalated to her medical manager to see what they can do. I’ve had nothing but good experience with Vetco until this came about…

We took our dog here for many years until we moved. Dr. Wilburn was so kind and calm in how he treated our uncooperative and feisty pup. And then when I called for information years later, the staff spent twenty minutes trying to dig up info to help with my dog’s care, with nothing to gain for themselves. Thank you Lee’s Summit Vetco!

well this was yesterday (6/1) but especially today (6/2). yesterday i brought Macie in because of her breathing troubles and i was already crying. the entire team was so comforting and supportive. i felt hopeful for my pup and was glad to have some answers. unfortunately macie worsened and despite ER efforts, she passed in my arms this morning. it was horribly painful. i called Vetco and the fact that the tech i spoke to (i can’t remember her name but thank you so much) got emotional with me over my pup really let me know that i picked the right place. i wouldn’t want macie to be in any other places’ hands. i got to the vetco and Jay and Ambriah (i hope i spelled it right!) came to the car to grab my pup. they were so sincere and genuine and they both give the absolute most healing hugs, i swear. when they both hugged me before i left it really really means so much to me. i will carry that moment with me for the rest of my life. i really needed that and im so grateful they both were there to support me through this. losing my pup of 15 years like this was so traumatic and i don’t know if i could’ve handled it without the support of this Vetco team. i am so serious. i am eternally grateful to all of you. thank you, thank you, thank you infinitely. xx turq
