  We switched to the Ward Parkway Banfield from the one closer to our home because the level of care our pet received was so much better and the facility was much cleaner. Our 14 year old poochie mix was having pancreatitis type symptoms that kept getting worse. Thanks to Dr Velasquez and Dr Coates, who recommended an ultrasound, a specialist determined Bree’s gall bladder was full of sludge and her bile duct was blocked. She had to have emergency surgery at a different location due to the weekend but the level of care she received at the Ward Parkway Banfield before and since her surgery contributed to her making a complete recovery, healthier than she was before the removal of her gall bladder. We also want to give a BIG shoutout! to vet tech, Crystal. She patiently explained to us (more than once) how to give Bree IV fluids at home. When we weren’t successful, she was the one we chose to give Bree her fluids on a weekly basis because she is confident, puts us all at ease and gets the job done! She is so knowledgable and always has great suggestions for us to keep our senior dog happy and healthy!

  I like the Banfield Ward Parkway location. Everyone is very kind towards my dog and myself.

  I’ve had good and awful experiences here. If you have a cat, look elsewhere. The good experiences were not worth the bad. I brought my 1.5 year old cat here for a routine checkup and a sanitary butt shave (hes had 3 before at a groomer). They took him back for the shave and then when they brought him back the the exam room he was panting like crazy, then had diarrhea and vomiting. We kept asking what we should do and the vet was so unhelpful. She recommended we give him medicine to calm him down and I asked her if she thought it was a good idea or if it might exacerbate him etc and she wouldn’t give me a direct answer and kept dancing around what i asked. They then recommended we take him to an emergency vet. We unfortunately had to uber to the emergency vet, so when the uber finally arrived, they tried multiple times to get us to pay the bill (which i was more than willing to had it not been an EMERGENCY) and had barely any sense of urgency despite seeing how severe it was for him. My cat died seconds after finally being able to leave banfield and on the way to the hospital. I felt little to no sympathy or compassion from the female cat vet in a VERY DIRE time and i will NEVER bring any person or animal I love to this place again. Not to mention, the first time I brought him here the vet let me know she passed him around EVERY employee and let them each pet him. He returned home sick. rip BMO.
