  Me and my girlfriend were at Petco today and interested in getting a tortoise. When we went to check the little guy out, we saw him accidentally flip himself on his back while in shallow water. He was struggling to get back into his feet, and we feared he could get exhausted and drown. When we told a worker about it, and directed said worker over to the poor little guy, the worker laughed and then proceeded to walk away. Fortunately the tortoise was able to get back onto his feet, but it took at least 10 minutes of him struggling. We were very worried for him, and seeing the workers not care was genuinely heartbreaking. Please do better.

  I rarely ever write one star reviews. However, I purchased a fish from your store yesterday (7/05) and by today it has killed or infected nearly all of my already established healthy fish with ich. I noticed that some of the tanks looked infected whilst shopping, but the tank I bought my fish from looked safe. Within hours of putting in the new fish all of my fish were infected, and this morning before I even had time to act, dead. This is so unacceptable and a terrible business practice to sell infected or dying animals. There is no chance someone at that store didn’t know about ich. It’s so obvious, and infectious. I’m so frustrated that all of my beloved and established fish are dead.

  Stopped by Petco for a few things and had a pleasant visit overall. The store was clean and organized, and the employees were friendly and helpful when I had a question. They had a good selection in stock, and checkout was quick and easy.
