  Puppy spa and experience was everything I could ask for for my fur baby! Everyone was so kind and friendly- I wanted to stay for a Service! The details were Pawfect and will tell everyone to go! Shelby will be back for monthly spa days! I couldn’t believe how cute she Looked and the whole house smells amazing!

  We were looking for a new groomer for our dogs after our previous groomer left another salon. We brought our Samoyed, Loki, in for a trim. After several hours, we picked him up and realized he had only been washed, dried, and had his nails clipped and no trimming had actually been done. We understood grooming can take time, so we rescheduled for the following month to complete the trim. When we picked him up after the second appointment, he had been shaved down almost completely, except for a puff at the end of his tail like a poodle. We were shocked. Anyone properly trained to work with double-coated breeds should know that Samoyeds should not be shaved like this unless medically necessary. We were specifically told that Yuppy Puppy’s stylists are trained to care for breed-specific coats, which makes this even more disappointing. What makes this worse is the lack of communication and professionalism throughout the entire process. At no point were we contacted to discuss shaving him down or asked for approval before making such a drastic decision about his coat. If a groomer truly believes a dog needs to be shaved, that conversation should happen with the owner first. The first picture is Loki a few days before the appointment. The second is how he looked when we picked him up. Hailey was the stylist who groomed him. I genuinely hope Yuppy Puppy takes situations like this more seriously in the future and improves both communication and education regarding double-coated breeds.
