She explained that, according to Petco’s policy, the store cannot issue the refund because the dispute has to be handled through the third-party delivery service. I understand that and don’t blame the store for the delivery mistake. She did give me a direct number for their DoorDash delivery orders, which I appreciated, but when I called back after initially mistyping it (my mistake), the correct number immediately disconnected. That should probably be looked into. Giving 3 stars because the employee was helpful, but the overall experience was frustrating. A better process and even just a working direct line would make a big difference.
