Deworming

Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are available at Banfield Pet Hospital®. Administering vaccines is a preventative health care measure that can help protect pets against various diseases, such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

X-rays

Banfield Pet Hospital® is equipped with X-ray equipment. Veterinary X-rays are diagnostic tools used to view an animal's bones, organs, and internal structures, which can help when diagnosing injuries or illnesses.

We have used banfield for at least 3 years with no issues with the vet techs, but we have had multiple issues with their front desk staff. They have charged us for multiple medications when our cats have already been medicated and we did not need extra, they told us we were late for a drop off appointment when the appointment was made for 7:45am, the only time that they communicated on the phone, not 7am. But today was probably the most irritating issue, we have the banfield wellness plan which allows “free dental cleanings including the price of anesthesia” for both cats. Both of our cats have a mild case of gingivitis so we were aware that teeth extractions were going to happen today, I had double checked with the front desk lady when I made the appointment. When we went to drop them off today we were told that dental extractions do not happen on sundays, despite me double checking when the appointment was made. Their suggestion was to “prep” for extractions and make a separate appointment for the actual removal, which would cost us additional money because the plan would no longer cover the anesthesia if we had used it today. We had essentially brought our cats in for no reason today, we had made it very clear we wanted to have everything done all in one appointment to reduce the stress for our cats and ourselves. Banfield should reconsider who is making appointments and dealing with scheduling because there is obviously some disconnect here. The vet techs are amazing, but whoever is at the front desk scheduling is not doing their job correctly.

I brought my 16 year old cat here last month. I knew she was reaching the end of her life with kidney disease but I was unsure about timing for euthanasia. Dr Button was incredibly compassionate, took the time to truly listen through my tears, and helped guide me through the decision without pressure, focusing on my cat’s quality of life and the bond we shared. When I ultimately chose euthanasia, I felt supported and at peace with the decision. The process itself was handled with great care and dignity, and what I feared would be a traumatic experience was instead a calm, peaceful, loving goodbye. Even though this was my first time at Banfield, I was sent a meaningful card in the mail along with my cat’s paw prints, which I had no idea I’d receive. With many grateful tears, I had to write this review. When I am ready to add another fur baby to my home, I will absolutely be returning.

My dog was very sick earlier this week but thankfully I got in to a different Banfield location and they helped her. This location said they couldn’t find my pet even though I’m a member of the plan and therefore they couldn’t make an appointment.

The whole staff is great. Our wellness plan for our 4-year-old dog Freddie is well worth the price.

Everything was explained to me clearly, questions were answered, and Ruby was well taken care of.
