Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are available at Banfield Pet Hospital®. Administering vaccines is a preventative health care measure that can help protect pets against various diseases, such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

Burnsville Banfield is amazing as it has been for the last 25 years that I’ve been using them. As always compassionate and amazing care. They treat us like family and have given exceptional care. We have always depended on them and they are there for all our needs. We have a pup with IBD and he is at times in need of seeing his doctor and they have been so caring in helping us manage his needs. Thank you to everyone!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THE WELNESS PLAN! WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I called on Saturday morning after my dog ate something with chocolate and Raisin paste in it. I was told I could either contact an online vet for poison control and pay OUT OF POCKET, or I could take him to an emergency vet to induce vomiting. Now I PAY for the wellness plan that they persuaded me to get which includes office visits. When I asked about this, I was told it was more of a preventative plan and that the vets on staff would not induce vomiting. (So now I am questioning if they will treat something like kennel cough or an ear infection because how do you " prevent" that?) I questioned this because why would you offer a wellness plan and then tell pet owners they need to go elsewhere for help?? (granted somethings truly do require emergency help but I think in this case they could have helped me and I later found out they could have). I ended up calling the emergency vet office in Apple Valley and they were kind enough to triage me over the phone FOR FREE. After I was told okay to monitor at home for 2 days Banfield called me back and told me that since it was a food related incident the vet on staff is willing to induce vomiting. I called the office back and told them I was told okay to monitor but inquired about the pricing to induce vomiting because if it was affordable that would be the route I'd like to take. AND GUESS WHAT, THEY DIDNT CALL ME BACK AT ALL. I have never been so disappointed with care.

Always a good experience. The hours on the website and their phone system are apparently incorrect. It says they open at 7am, but in reality, they do not open until 8am.

They have put into place measures to protect themselves and the customers from Covid-19. Always friendly and helpful when I have questions or concerns.
