  Wow! I just got home from driving up to Blaine from the cities as I needed a last minute grooming appointment. They were the only ones near the city that had a wide range of availability all day. No wonder. After getting checked in, the gal at the grooming desk went back and got our stylist. She asked if our dog had any medical issues or aggression issues. I informed her that my dog could get nervous but had never hurt anyone or any other dog. I told her that over a year ago Penny had a surgery but had been groomed at a Petco twice since then. The lady informed me that I needed a written letter from my vet on a letterhead saying that she could groom this dog. I asked if we could just call the vet instead. She said no and getting a letter would likely take several weeks. When I called the vet on the way home to acquire one of these handwritten letters, the vet was confused and said that they had never had anyone at a grooming facility ask for something like this before. It seemed weird and very over the top. Hopefully the emailed version that I now have in my possession will suffice. I went back on to book a additional appointment for later next week at a closer location and the grooming stylist has put a red flag on my account so that I can't book any further appointments. This is completely unprofessional and unnecessary. I have already signed something that says that if my dog was injured during grooming they could contact my vet and provide medical assistance. Why isn't that enough?

  I went yesterday and have been there several times and the customer service sucks . The staff are rude, except for one worker with curly hair who is actually nice; the rest are terrible. Every time I go, I’m treated very poorly and it’s not just a one-time thing; it happens with various employees. A week ago, I wanted to buy a snake, and an older woman with glasses asked, "Do you have the terrarium for the snake?" I said yes, and she told me to bring it in because she wouldn't sell me a snake without one. I mean, why would I bring a large terrarium inside the store just to buy a snake? She insisted I had to bring it or she wouldn't sell me anything. I want to point out that I’ve bought reptiles at other places and other Petco locations, and they always just give you the animal in a box; she simply refused to sell it to me. Yesterday, I went to get another snake, and a short-haired worker spoke to me very aggressively, saying, "I don't have time for this right now; I won't give you a snake, I have a thousand things to do." Yet, she was just feeding the geckos right in front of us and insisting we leave because she was busy, even though the snakes were literally right next to her. The service at Petco Blaine suck dude; it is the most horrible service I have ever experienced.

  We paid for the puppy package for shots and were told one price over the phone but after receiving the shots it was 2-3 times what we were quoted. When we went back for the 3rd appointment they refused to do his shots or compromise in any way and wasted our time. Very unhelpful.
