  If I could give zero stars, I totally would for how unprofessional they were with their client. I came in thinking it was the Banfield clinic for my dog's appointment, but nope, it wasn't. I was grateful they squeezed me in, but before that, I waited in the lobby for 20 minutes for someone to even notice us and check us in. When I told her about my appointment and that I was at the wrong place, she squeezed me into the schedule, but by then, I'd already been waiting for almost an hour. Then she put me in a room, and we waited there for 40 minutes, and I was already super frustrated because I had to be somewhere else. I thought the doctor was coming in, but instead, one of the staff just came in and asked me what was going on with my dog. I even begged if the doctor could see my dog, but it wasn't a guarantee since the doc was seeing other dogs. The staff asked the doctor, and with that, they said they couldn't see my dog. All I heard from the staff was "can't" and "sorry." I waited for almost 2 hours, and nothing was done for my dog. Unprofessional staff, and I waited in the room and could hear them laughing and talking to each other like no one was even waiting. If I had known it would take so long, I would've just rescheduled and left instead of wasting my time. And other people even had to walk out because they taking so long to be even seen.

  Today was the last time I will ever visit this facility. Since moving here a year ago, we have had nothing but problems with this Banfield location. The first visit was a drop-off appointment and something happened that traumatized my cat. The vet said they were unable to perform the exam without him being sedated. That had never happened anywhere else before and we’ve been wellness plan members for years. The second time I sedated him as requested, but got stuck on the other side of town. I called to inform them I would be 10 minutes late but they told me they could not accommodate and I would have to reschedule. Today I waited 19 minutes for them to get me checked in because of computer problems, apparently. Then I waited another 10 minutes for anyone to come into the exam room only to tell me they can’t actually do his exam today. Apparently my “bite-y” cat can no longer ever be seen at their facilities without being sedated, all because of one bad vet. I understand they may have policies, but their lack of customer care or interest in working with me has me posting this review. I’ve been a little frustrated with Banfield, but since moving to Southfield, this facility has put me over the edge. Good riddance.

  Banfield is great sometimes and others not so much. It depends on whose on staff that day. I'm not happy with some people being able to deal with my dogs and others are not. It should be noted which staff is able to deal with my animals and my appointments should be scheduled as such.

  I do not know how this company is still in business. The Wellness plan is a scam do NOT participate in that plan. Any company that can keep charging a pet owner after their pet dies is SICK and just in it for the $ MONEY $. I signed up in November 11th 2025 paid $160.00 to get started. My puppy passed in December. I called and let them know what happened and asked to cancel the account. I was told to bad so sad. Then out of the goodness of their heart they offer me the ability to pay over $500 to cancel the account. My puppy got a a few shots that was all. She didn't even get a chance to be to be fixed. SO here I am in July still being charged $88.35 for a dog i had tragically pass away in December of 2025. Good job Banfield what a great company you are. I made a BBB compliant and and speaking with my bank. This is not ok!!!!

  Dr. Alamipi and the staff at Banfield Southfield office are always professional. My Yorkie, Gabby has a dry eyes, mainly the left. Dr. Alamipi has gone above and beyond in prescribing medications to ensure Gabby’s eye was cared for. Even referring Gabby to a specialist for further care. I am pleased with the care Gabby is receiving and would recommend Dr. Alamipi to anyone who would need Veterinary services for their pet.
