Extremely Incompassionate vet tech. I didn’t get her name, but she had Smokey eyes, dark hair. Sat in the waiting room 10 minutes with my immobile older cat wrapped in my arms who had an accident & most likely has broken legs. Got reprimanded in front of other patrons for not having a cat carrier I then mentioned her legs may be broke I had to hold her a certain way so she wasn’t in excruciating pain. She ignored the facts & repeated herself about the cat carrier completely dismissing my concerns & embarrassing me in front of others while I was already under extreme emotional distress because my cat was in pain & I didn’t know what the future held for her. I didn’t know If we were gonna leave with her or the worst case if because of her age the injuries were gonna take her life. So we had to go wait in the car. Ok, fine. Waited an additional FORTY FIVE MINUTES OUTSIDE… after waiting in the lobby awhile . NEVER got a call to come back in? there was only one pet in the waiting room when we signed in at our appointment time so what was the hold up? Pettiness I’m sure because I was visibly upset walking out while she rudely said “Thank you!” After making me repeat myself twice that my call back number was on the sign in sheet (we both know she heard me the first time) We ended up leaving & taking our sweet girl to an emergency vet which is double/triple the price. Why worry more about a silly policy than a cat in dire need? She is completely immobile she wasn’t going anywhere. I just wanna thank this woman for making a hard time for my family harder! & I thought her job was to care for animals not make them suffer longer to prove a point. I will never return here again & I will be sure to inform all of my family & friends who take their animals here what this place is really about & it’s not compassion for our animals that’s for sure.

Wow!!! Very accommodating... friendly... stayed a little later to administer tests and shots to comfort my dog. It was a emergency type situation and they were very understanding and did a thorough exam even though they had to stay an hour late.... you don't get that kind of service much anymore.!!! So they deserved a BIG SHOUT OUT OF THANKS..!!!!!

I first came to Dix Animal Hospital about 6 years ago to treat my boy cat who had a UTI from complications with the way a different vet neutered him. The staff was lovely with sending pictures updates while he recovered enough to come home. So when my older girl cat was showing signs of illness about a week and a half ago I knew this was where I wanted to go to treat her. JaNell was our vet tech during our first visit and she was wonderful. Unfortunately, she did not show improvement with our initial treatment plan and we discovered larger underlying issues today. I made the hard decision of putting her down for the sake of her quality of life in her senior years. The staff handled everything so well. I feel that they meet their goal of providing quality pet healthcare at fair prices. I think we all agree that our pets are worth the world, but our wallets aren't always able to keep up with that. They are caring and considerate of being delicate with finances so you can make the decision for your babies and yourself. I will definitely be sticking with Dix Animal Hospital for my younger boy cat (6 years old now) and any future fur babies that join my family as long as I continue to live in a reasonable traveling distance.
